Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

indeed it is a weakness in the world of crypto, there is no clear law for the swindlers here. so what is needed is your experience and intelligence if you want to invest and trade.

Then you have to study the ICO well, you  have to search it from their website, to the team, platform and their vision, so many ICO scam spreading the market and you cannot tell easily which is scam so better to be vigilant.

Deepionion in my thought. The reason why being a great support community, great transparent team, almost daily announcements, new features are always worked on and delivered, upgraded to maintain the best specs and that is a low market capitalization with a huge amount of space to grow and become the top leader of 2018. This still young (most likely underestimated at the moment). It's growing rapidly and doing much better than the other new coins in this category, as well as DeepOnion has more features, so it's not just currency. This coin has a very low cost, fast transfer, this ensures anonymity using Tor network. It has a very active community and the current development team is equivalent to a roadmap and they often release updates and news (like a mobile phone wallet for Android). And actually there is a very nice Airdrop.

The time from the beginning of the project to the sale of the ICO is very long so you have more time and information to be able to evaluate the project.

until now I also have not been able to distinguish the scam ICO or not, a lot of out there scam using a very neat deception way until we do not know it's a scam or not, in terms of anywhere like no flaw to say it scam at the beginning we follow.

First of all, if you want to avoid a scam ico, you should try to find a comprehensive information about this project, its team and the reviews of other people about this project.

any ICO who uses a moderated thread for a start is a red flag.

An ICO with anonymous developers is also a red flag.

IN fact all ICOS are blatant scams.

ICOs are so 2017......

Mostly when you want to avoid ico scams then you want to stay away from following the hive mind which is basically investing in a project because you see a lot of people talking about it without doing any research of your own. Educating yourself about a project is the best way for you to tell if that project is legit or  not, there will be something that you find that will tell you if its any good

Before everything else, you must check the whitepaper and the team behind the ICO. Also check how they are doing in engaging and being active in the community and how good their reputation is. A good ICO attracts big investors because of their product or vision they have set. I can personally recommend DCC. DCC has a goal to create a report on credit history on the blockchain. This will help borrowers and lenders to safely and easily access data among them. However, in this kind of progress, the issue of joint debts has significantly hindered the development of industry and caused major social problems. In a borrower’s perspective, debt information is “hashed” by different credit agencies, but no one should know more about the history of their loans and repayments than borrowers themselves. The cost of establishment of a centralized institution to carry out individual credit reporting is high and efficient. The data that both parties approved can be accessed by other institutions that can help prevent problems like repeated test borrowing and long-term borrowing.

The best way to avoid scam is review the project in details through their whitepaper. Check the background of the team who is running the project. The advisors and the like. Check some website who is rating the ICO.  Check if the project has a potential usage in the actual world and top of them all what is your gut-feeling towards the project. Good luck.

That is the sad part when you started to engage in cryptocurrency you will be facing a lot of problems especially those people who will take the hard earned money of the traders or investors. In order to avoid such scams, you have to be very careful about reading their whitepaper, and it should not contain too good to be true offers. A legit ICO have a good dev team in order to maintain their platform as well as their relationships with their clients.

Fake ICO is not so easy to spot, as some consider themselves legitimate. What you need to look for is proof of the approval and participation of authoritative figures, as well as a proven team.

You are right in that scammers know all of this and are obviously trying to make their scam look legit. I also use quality and originality of the idea, what the website looks like and whether the team members are active in the cryptocommunity.

People very often rely on experience, but some people have so few of them that they can not notice the obvious things so I'd much rather read about the manual from an experienced person who has already invested so many times
