Its your lost man. Its okay for sure you have earned a profits from selling those bitcoin, but why did you sell all ? You don't have to sell it all. If you prepare a short investment you win, you gain profits and the other hand who prepare long term is now having a good sleep looking at the current price and its still growing.

$5840  as we speak   Shocked

I hate to say it but it will peak in the 7-8K range by oct 25th at this pace.

should i buy back then ?

If you profited which I assume you did you might consider waiting. I can tell you exactly what I would do in your shoes.

I have a little bit over the amount you sold and I bought with an average price of somewhere around 4300-4500.  Some I bought when it was 3500, and some as high as 4700.  I have also dumped about half my total digital assets into alt currencies along the way.
.5 to .75 BTC in each of  my top ten. I am now waiting as the alt coins continue to drop further before buying more.   Still HODL a lot of BTC (relatively speaking)

Here is what I HIGHLY recommend at this point;  I'm no expert but I have spent 8-10 hours every single day the last month obsessing and researching over this whole crypto world revolution. I know I was late to the game so I felt I needed to really study hard to catch up.

Don't buy back in to BTC right now.  You reaped some rewards so good for you keep them.   Smiley

Put your money into ALT coins.  While everyone is scrambling buying BTC before the fork Alt coins are dumping hard. I personally saw this opportunity several days ago once I realized what was happening. Virtually all of the top alt coins have dropped 15-50+ % in as little as the last four days.
So instead of selling my alt coins I doubled or tripled my investment in each coin.  I have 60+ different alt coins  Shocked I know I'm ether cray or a genius, time will tell.  I figure I have the equivalent of a mutual fund.  Don't want all your eggs in one basket.   Dont even think about buying BTC unless it drops below
5K even then dont buy a lot. If you want to buy back into BTC before the fork I would only use your profit you made from the sale. Then it is free money.  At most 50% of your original BTC coins value.  To be totally safe stick to the profit you made.

If you want good alt coins look at the top 20 coins.  Personally I recommend  Strat  iop  Steem Waves MAID, NEO  NXS to name a few. There are lots of other good ones.  Those all happen to have a major drop in the last 4-7 days. They will regain their positions and you will net a solid 25-50% return in the next month or two.

Hope that helps some.  Dont get caught up chasing the market.  You might get lucky and win but you could also lose.

Cheers

It all depend by your trading style and if you hold other bitcon atm. I usually suggest to sell and go away for a week or two, enjoing profits and staying away from mistake  Smiley

I just saw new post that you bought back in.  You should really sell the amount that wasnt profit and buy some alt coins like I suggested.  If you want to gamble then HODL the ones you just bought.  BTC could go up another 10-20% before fork but I can guarantee you good alt coins will give you 20-50% returns in the next month or two.  BTG "gold" is highly unlikely to break 1K and BTC will certainly drop a decent amount after fork if not a few days before. The only way  buying BTC at these prices pays more is if BTG ends up being about 50% the value of BTC.   Unlikely.  Play both sides.  Buy BTC only with your profits or slightly more.  Then buy good alt coins.

You were trading, oh that sucks for you (other than that you have $84k!)
As a trader you have to accept the rises and falls, you thought it was a good time to sell at about $5000, so why do you think it is a good time to buy at $5550?

I also sold a small amount a few days ago, but obviously shouldn't have in retrospect.  You can't know what the market will do, so you just have to accept what has happened and look at the situation afresh and decide based on the current price and your feelings/analysis whether you should buy, hold, wait or sell.

You can wait and buy again when btc dump the lower price  Kiss

what i think is it will never go below 5000$

Why not?
It can go under $5000 two years from now. We can gt to 10000 now and then bubble bursts and we go back to 3000 slowly after a year of depressing falls.

That really depends on how much you still have in hand. If you sold 17BTC and it's only 10% of holdings or less, why bother, life goes on...

If it's 100%, then the question "why" can only be answered by yourself...

That's almost $5,000 and that's a huge amount of money so I'm guessing you were able to profit from that but I also think that you should have left some bitcoin. Just this very day, the price has increased tremendously and I believe that it will continue to increase for the years to come.

Unless of course, you are satisfied with the profit you got.

I shall dissuade you from buying right now because the price is very high and it will continue to get higher. Once the November hard fork gets nearer, the bitcoin price will surely go down. That would be a good time for you to buy since the price will be very low. After the hard fork, the price will shoot up then you can sell it again if you want to. If you're into trading, invest on some altcoins too. There are some coins out there worth buying also it's very good for short term trading.

You should not if that help you with your needs.  We never know when bitcoin will go up such as this one.   You cashed out because you have a need of money and I guess it serves its purpose.  What if Bitcoin plummet to 3k, then you will say you are lucky enough to sell Bitcoin before it go dip?  You should not regret your action Smiley .  You sell them because you need to sell them.

That was a big disappointment if I were the one who did that. But hey, 4968 wasn't that bad. And I am sure that you had your profit then so all is well. If you want to get in again, wait for the upcoming dump. I am quite certain of that because of the upcoming two hardforks. It has been a normal occurance that when a hardfork will get underway within a week or so, a crash will happen because of FUDs, Whale dumping and panic selling.

You've sold a huge amount of coins by anyone's reckoning, so I'm going to assume you had a lot more where that came from. Regardless, don't regret it. You've done well already and there's a lot to say about "realised profit", which is where you were at when you sold.

Of course, if you were a supposed holder, and you sold everything you had, then this probably wasn't a great move (hint, holding means waiting for the big payout, right?).

Keep some of that and enjoy it, there's a lot more regret waiting for those who just never liquidated and then watched it all go away. Bitcoin is headed for better days (yes, even better than today) but there's a lot more lows to weather. I'd just wait and buy back in at 4,500 or lower. Every ATH has been followed by an even bigger dip, such is the way of the market.

From my experience, regret isnt a good thing for Cryptocurrency trader who wants to be good at trading.
You shouldn't have sold everything by the way. It is always advisable to leave at least One third (⅓) of your of your coin at your last sell.

Don't regret your decision instead learn from it. I do have the same experience a couple of weeks back. I sold my bitcoins at a very low price of $3300 then I watch it climb all the way up to $4800. We do make mistake but let's take it as a lesson learned in time. Cheesy

Such is the nature of trading on the exchange. In order for someone to receive income you will need someone to get a loss. When you bought your bitcoins cheap someone also regretted that sold them to you. In any case you earned on this transaction in dollars and so there is no point to regret. Maybe somebody in a few years will regret that sold bitcoin at $ 10,000.

You need to learn much about the trading aspects, because all that required with trading is patience to experience the goodness. Here more we hold, more will be the profiting. To know better, it's good through go through the growth chart from certain time period. Also one should never such a big number of bitcoin on a single transaction.

I wonder why you sold it at all when you want to buy it again but at higher price what really does not make sense.Perhaps you fear that prices will go upwards only and you will lose a chance to earn if you not have some BTC.But I think the majority agrees that price correction will come, therefore it would be wise to wait for that moment and buy again.

I think you still profited when you sold that 17BTC,I assume that you bought them at a much lower price. It's about your money so if you want to buy it now you can do it.

thanks for suggestions, the thing is i am not trader at all, purchased gunbot and wanted to try how stuff works.

i just sold the coins to see if the bot will buy them back and i was expecting that bot will buy them 50$ less so i will have around 1000$ profit, but anyways that didn't worked
