If you are in need of some money, then I would sell. If you are one of those guys that get in panic when BTC value moves downwards, then I would suggest you sell some, and hold some. If you are someone who has been holding it for long time now, then continue holding them!
In the end, it's up to you to decide what you want to do with your BTC!

It depend on what are you trading. If you have 3 BTC in a margin position LONG I would recommend to start a trailing order with a short gap because we are into a zone that at any moment someone will say something and price will fall down and most stop order will be blown. That is classic Bitcoin, something we have seen in countless times.

PS: Never sell bitcoin we are in adoption zone , this price seems high but is low in the long term.

Bitcoin is running high on positive vibes around the world and receiving a lot of investments. The market cap is at all time high 90 billion USD, a lot higher than the GDP of many countries. So your question is a timely one. If I were you, I would continue holding my bitcoins because I have a long term goal and 5600 USD is not my target price. I am targeting even higher but with a longer term outlook.

However, if you want to book your profits, then don't go with all your holdings. Probably you can book the profit for one bitcoin and keep the rest. BUt keep that money ready in hand and don't spend it. Bitcoin price will come down to a certain extent after the fork in November. So keep some cash ready to buy one bitcoin once again when the price will come down after November. This way you can have some profit and also keep your holdings intact.

if you bought bitcoin just to make a quick profit then sure, sell and get out now. you have already gotten the "quick" profit anyways.
but if you are not just looking for that quick small profit then obviously you should hold for long term. these short term rises and drops are not for those who are not traders. and I don't think you are a trader or plan on starting to trade so selling now is not really a good option if you ask me.

I think right now the best choice is to hold the BTC because still, there is huge chance that the price of Bitcoin will increase after Oct 25th. Right now it is in correction mode so after Oct 25th there is a huge spike in the price.

I think right now the best choice is to hold the BTC because still, there is huge chance that the price of Bitcoin will increase after Oct 25th. Right now it is in correction mode so after Oct 25th there is a huge spike in the price.

If I were you hold some of your btc and if you are in need of money you can sell some. Actually we have so many speculation about the btc price maybe it will continue to rise and maybe after the hard fork it will downfall from the current price now. If you are willing to risks about your btc hodling is also the good.

For me, I will hold because I already have passive income and stable job. Bitcoin is investment, so it is better to hold and not sell quickly. Beside, I do not have much BTC right now so it is better to keep collecting. But, what do you mean by the "upcoming fork" ? How do we know about the upcoming fork ? Is it better to sell when the fork is coming ?

Nice good to know that you've got 3 bitcoin and you don't have to do anything with it. Just focus with your long term plans of keep on holding it and setting up a price on when you'll sell. If you are happy with the current price of bitcoin @$5,600 then sell. There are some traders that are now converting their profit into some other alt coins since the price of alt coins are being dumped too. But my suggestion wait for the end of the year, the end of the forks it will give you a free alt coin.

I think if you don't have an urgent need, that's good for HOLD, because I think bitcoin prices will continue to increase until the end of the year unless you have enough value now and benefit from initial investment plan. Probably not wrong if you sell some of bitcoin you have today.

Good advices, cause its not just one. Quick profit or holding for future is something that I ask myself almost everyday. Price of bitcoins is making new records and in next few days that will not stop, until this new hard fork price will go up a little bit more.
Good time for buying is now when we know that price will go up and touch 6.000$ in next couple hours, and maybe 7.000$ in next couple days. Be careful after fork, maybe we will see some dumping and price drop.
