Hop over to mountain time, catch the opening and find a church there for 10:00 MDT services an hour later

I know I'm not the only Bitcoin user who goes to church. I sincerely hope not!

Now trading is always going on while I'm gone to church, shopping, etc. and that's nothing new.
But a re-start of trading on Mt. Gox, which has been down for A WEEK, might provide unique opportunities that I might miss.

Why did they have to pick such a time?

Because your particular choice of spending sunday time is not more important than anyone elses - be it golf, work, family bbq, favourite wanking time, whatever.

Religions are renowned for their sense of self-importance.
Don't make the mistake of assuming anyone else should think you're spending your time there well - let alone take it into consideration for a globally operating concern.

right on!  I hate self righteous religiosity and really wish people would stop assuming others give a shit about their particular brand of irrationality.  This is a fucking bitcoin forum not a place to sell sky fairies.  Keep your religion to yourself or people like me will call it out for what it is, bullshit.

No one you trust can run your account for you?

By definition, he doesn't trust people who are not attending church :-D

I'd also like to throw in that Japan is like 14 hours ahead of Central time, so the real enemy of churches is the time zones and the fact that the earth rotates. I don't remember much from the bible, but didn't it say God created this earth, and so created this whole time zone fiasco? So really, the enemy of church is God himself. This God guy sounds like a real bastard, playing tricks like that on you.

Aren't church goergs all thinking that the earth is flat, that the universe was created in 6 days and that every people in the world live in their own country, in the same timezone and speak the same language? ;-)

Sunday is actually the fairest opening time because the fewest number of users will be at work.

Yes, except the language part, they corrected themselves about 2800 years ago. They're not too observative about the other stuff.

Also OP has to go to church every week because he needs to hear the same teachings and stories very often? Does he forget them over the year or what?!

Brother, might I remind you of Romans 8:28?

Even if the only good thing to come of it is that you and I both learn that "trusting God with everything" includes finances. Wink

Yes, our service starts at 4pm. I'm not a bit worried.

For some reason, I thought they were opening Sunday afternoon -- you know, when I get HOME from church.

No, it's actually 10:00 AM (CDT), right as Mass is beginning.

I know I'm not the only Bitcoin user who goes to church. I sincerely hope not!

Now trading is always going on while I'm gone to church, shopping, etc. and that's nothing new.

Why did they have to pick such a time? I still think they should have been ready by 12 hours after their original plan (namely, RIGHT NOW)

They aren't even going to be open a couple hours before 10:00, so I could get in a few orders before I leave. No, I have to just miss out.

Oh well. Maybe it will prevent me from selling at $18, and I'll get home and get to sell at $25 or something Smiley

Mt. Gox -- you should delay a few hours until most people get back from church.

Come on, we're not a nation of atheists, even if some people here are!

15:00 GMT is:

11:00 EDT
10:00 CDT
9:00 MDT
8:00 PDT

That is basically PRIME TIME for churches across America on Sunday morning.

Come on, Mt. Gox -- show a little respect for America's religious sensibilities!
