Hold for your dear life. If you pull the trigger and you sell at loss, then you are indeed at loss butifyou hold your altcoin, provided that your altcoinare solid altcoin like Ethereum etc, then you will bw happy you held when altcoin price rally in the future!

Stop loss is useful in some cases. If you really believe the fundamentals of the projects you have invested, you should probably hold rather than do the stop loss.

My friend, I was in the same situation. But I believe that the altcoyins will still grow in value. Maybe not to their previous price highs....but  i believe!

I think most of us had learned important lessons in crypto. Investing here for a few months and you experience the swings and profit / losses of trading stocks for years.
Learning when to cut losses for better investments is a b#*#@ to learn. Good luck and enjoy the ride, I know I am

It is surely painful to see the king rises, all citizen has to bow down (read: dump) LOL
But as long as you believe the project and the dev team, it will always be advisable to hold
Cut loss is killer for most beginner unlike stocks, at least if you dont have enough knowledge and skill in doing day trading

Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!

Take it easy and if you believe on the project, just HODL.
The recent massive rally of Bitcoin causes majority of the Old coins that exist long time ago drop in their price based off satoshi. However, there's no need of worry because the price in terms of fiat might increase time by time Smiley

I gotta say, a lot of people really are having the same predicament at the moment. Since altcoin go up so damn fast ad drops as much in just minutes. my advice is to just let it be and hold on to it. Since you have already lost it. Start over fresh and 10x more careful this time And maybe if you're lucky, the price of your alts may increase someday. Don't let this drops make you sell all your possessions without even searching enough about it.

I also have some alts that lose its value against bitcoin while it's dollar value increased from the time i bought it, but i will keep holding kt because the loss isn't much and i believe they will perform better later. Sometimes it's better to sell and buy back later while bitcoin is moving up and i also do that.

You cant still be sure if you would able to make money on those alts that you do hold that eventually decrease their price but well holding them and not selling them on lose is the most wise thing to do rather than on panicking seeing your portfolio is on reds. 80% is already severe and for those people who dont have much experience would normally freak out and dont know on what they wanna do on this kind of situation.

You do realize how much you lost is completely irrelevant to you exit strategy right? You exit if you don't think your investment is going back up. If you don't have a very good reason to think that it will go up just sell now. And no, just because it was higher once does not mean it will be high again.

I think in this type of situation you shouldn't sell them with this much of loss. You should wait untill they will give you your money back. Good altcoins having good projects will definitely increase sometime.

No other choice but to keep on holding it.

He will gain nothing for being a panic seller and with that loss of 80%, you can do something about it if you'll just decide to on your own.

The best way of making good profit with it is wait for the storm and cloudy day for your portfolio.

Poor you, normally, I will cut loss when the price falls down about 30% to 40%, but if you have lost 80%, I think the best way is to continue hold and pray!
