I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?!

So sorry for your loss. What you can do now is to learn from whatever mistakes you made by investing in those altcoins and make sure you do not repeat them again. There really is not much you can do but you can try to actually get your points back but making better choices. Lastly, be very careful about the coins that you invest your money into, I cannot stress this enough.

You just have to keep your altcoins, wait for the best time to sell. I had a similar situation. Until you sold them you lost. Be patient and it will reward.

If you have a strong feeling that the altcoins you have bought will still recover, then just hold it for a few months,  we never know you might still recover your capital. But if you feel that ot is just going down and down, sell now before you loose everything of your capital.

Like most people would tell you, especially in the extent you have put yourself in at the moment, go for the wiser and safer choice, and that is none other than to hold. You may not know that the altcoins you bought may be prosperous in time, that it can give you more that what you invested for. However, you must be ready and patient for how much time you would need to actually realize a return. Remember that altcoin investments may take months to more than a year, and judging by the amount you traded for, I think that you got a couple of coins in your hands. And also, you won't actually go after them if didn't have any good reason to. So, just keep at it mate.

That is why it is not advisable to put all of your money in a single investment.  It is much better to sacttered it and invest in different coins in order to get some profit and cover the losses from other coins in case the market are down.

All you can do in this situation is to just hodl your alts and wait for them to reach the sufficient value and sell them to your desire. You have just risked your bitcoin, you should probably take care of your alts.

I feel you because at my first experience with altscoins the same happened to me but don't worry to much and next time try to invest only what you can afford to loose and also try to cut the looses if you see the prices keep going down.

If you feel there are better opportunities on the market, you SHOULD sell at a loss and go to something else.

It makes no sense to be scared of the market and stick to a coin that gave you heavy losses. Especially if the coin doesn't seem to have anything happening in the immediate horizon.

Ambrosus for example is a coin that has a lot of things coming up which will skyrocket in value. If I'm at 70% loss from something like Bytecoin, why would I HODL when I could cut my losses and recoup them with Ambrosus? You guys need better strategies for playing this tough market...

just wait for your profit it will comeback to their target then sell it. these coins are valuable in market it will come back in august and increase their price then you will get your profit you have already done so many wait and holded the altcoins but now wait just for some months all altcoins are recover in jully and august the digibytes and stratis are increase but not too much but the siacoin it will increase like rocket you will be in profit when you wait some months.

As a lot of the other people have posted, the entire market has lost about 75% of their BTC due to the recent trend. This is nothing to worry about and is actually quite healthy for the market. If it were me I would certainly just hold and wait for the prices to recover, which they most certainly will. You can feel pretty safe knowing that the big players will return to their normal prices.

I've also trapped with my hodling though I am not long-term holding instead of short-term. It's been a week I'm trap in my last altcoins purchases due to massive dumping that happening both in bitcoin and alts

Im certain that you will recover from it but as to the time nobody knows. investment of course we are already aware of the risks including losers, especially cryptocurrency investment is very fluctuating, Maybe it would be better to just hold it until the  market is good again.

If you bought a crypto currency at a high rate and after that the price of these coins went sharply down and you start to panic and think that you have received serious losses. But this is an erroneous opinion. Until you sold your coins at a reduced price and fixed a loss, you still have the hope that the total price of your investment portfolio may return.

We are all in the same position, but many people prefer to sell at lost and buy new coins, so it is still falling more and more... i have lost 50% already, and anytime it goes up 20% i know i should sell and buy back when it goes to the lowest because alts do this.
