I'm solo mining for now so I can't really see what happens with my blocks unless they show up on my wallet client.

Does anyone know why one of my mined blocks never reached my wallet?
It's been 12 hours since I was it appear on CUDAMiner and my number of transactions is still one more than my (Number of NRB/20).

Was it orphaned or something??

If you're running the daemon, run
Noirbitsd listtransactions

You'll see the orphan there if it happened. Good blocks look like this:

    {
        "account" : "",
        "category" : "generate",
        "amount" : 20.00000000,
        "confirmations" : 306,
        "blockhash" : "9db62e1afd741d113e50f9aff1791b8633d41fbf435feac2f6758d783a330571",
        "blockindex" : 0,
        "txid" : "827dfb4c82fdbaa1fac634a1fc8f3f404f77448f5392c41b5ec75f6167c385d6",
        "time" : 1371712994
    }

Category "generate" or "immature" are good. "orphan" bad. If you're using the qt client you'll have to go to the debug console I think and run 'listtransactions' to see orphans.

Thanks a lot for the quick tutorial! It was indeed orphaned! Tongue

Whats the global hash rate on this coin now?

How do people check global hash rate anyway? Smiley

You can get a ballpark current rate the daemon:
$ Noirbitsd getnetworkhashps
13634436

Or historical data from the block explorer:
http://arg.webboise.com/chain/Argentum/q/nethash
http://nrb.webboise.com/chain/Noirbits/q/nethash

EDIT: Man, I need to get more sleep Tongue

EDIT: Not sure if those stats look right from the block explorer though.

Happily mining away. We had a few minutes of conversation on cryptsy lastnight about Noirbits, a lot of people are curious to see how a coin without large volumes will perform.

Should be interesting indeed. Noirbits is a much better coin than many others listed on Crypsy. Hopefully they add it soon!

During my travels... hehehe (today) i met with a guy who works in a bank... and he suggested that to promote Noirbits, instead of just an exchange, i should put up and entirely Online Bank----- NoirBank. We'll obviously support other currencies, but mainly handling Noir. I know it sounds like centralizing, but i'd like to know your thoughts.

Anyone know why the windows binaries are a 30mb download.

This seems very large?

I am a bit nervous about installing it.
