Since i am a newbie, i will post this here.

I have created a new bitcoin mining calculator that takes into account the difficulty change when calculating the numbers. Grin

www.kaptain.me/btc_calc.php

In addition, i have taken the unique features of each bitcoin calculator currently on the net and put them all conveniently in one calculator.

They Include:
  • Basic Bitcoin Production Calculator
  • Estimated Difficulty Change Production Calculator
  • Electricity Cost Calculator
  • Return on Hardware Investment Calculator
  • Time Frame Profit Calculator
  • MHashas to Maintain Current Production After the Difficulty Change Calculator

I have verified all the calculations, but if you think something is not calculating correctly, please let me know.

My host is a little  slow, please be patient.

Thanks,
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

How is the difficulty change extrapolated?  As the difficulty isn't changing at a constant rate, the "correct" way to do this seems non-obvious.

Little feature request:
It would be cool if the form fields would stay after the submission

I do not extrapolate anything i only take into account the known difficulty change. Since we have no clue what the second difficulty change is going to be i did not try to estimate it.

The calculations are done in two parts:
1. percent earnings / cost at the current difficulty
2. remaining percent earnings / cost at the estimated difficulty

I find this to be quite good, Albeit after Mhash I cannot accuratly imput any data, For I cannot be certain of the data. Also, I unfortunatly hold a slow CPU bitcoin miner due to my operating system. The CPU miner I use is Bitcoin plus for I can track micro transactions, And I cannot imput the Mhash data either.

You did not enter an ROI Timeframe!!

I have put a stop gap in until i can write some input validation.
I have added default values to all input boxes, but the error will still occur if there are blanks until i write some input validation.

Thanks,

What is a britcoin?  I am not sure what you are asking for?

I would be glad to make a change, please explain it to me.
