These are general trading principles. Buy (or download) a book about. I doubt somebody will be able explain them to you here (it would be more than 100 pages post).

Maybe you can try to follow this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2223191.0   he's really good in explaining such stuff.

I personally use a mixture of T.A. (Technical Analysis or chart analysis) and keeping up with the news! The news in crypto is hugeeeee! Some coins can go up 100% in a few days after a good news story / progress update is released. Cheers!

The charts work as the same way, only that the price is affected by other kind of events in the real life, but in fact, all the indicators say the same and you can use them to predict the price.
Elliot waves works as the same as stocks/forex, and the resistance supports applies to altcoins too, but you have to pay a lot of attention to it because it varies in some times.
But yes, and there are a lot of plugins to add to your metatrader that will help you a lot.
good luck

I was once in your spot. Not knowing what I'm looking at when looking at a chart.

I've found these youtube channels to be very helpful...

DataDash's youtube playlist on trading tips.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBjbyew6oyc&list=PLovfz5BWiPa34GzoacromtRO-hq1XQSnD

Also, Arcane Bear has good tips on reading charts.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aTrxMsgcec&list=PLFQw-oZoKfpPye0b4gUL6FicrUfR6Qo3S

and for some advanced live charting.... Check out Sensai Kevlar

I hope this helps!
