No, gold is a physical thing you can hold in your hand. Bitcoin is electronic data. It is stored on the blockchain for everyone to see. Everyone cannot see all the gold. The blockchain cannot be manipulated unless there is someone who controls over 51% of the mining power. Gold can be melted and turned into other material. Both are hard to change. Gold and Bitcoin are similar in some regards, but also very different.

There is always a war somewhere, but I don't believe it has any effect on whether people want gold or bitcoin.

So, according to what you just said, Bitcoin IS the new gold. if the supply for Bitcoin is limited and for Gold no. the demand for bitcoin will rise. people will better of buy bitcoin and not gold .

IF there was a war and I needed to flee the country, which asset do you think would be easier and more secure to transport?

Bitcoin is not a bubble, it's the pin!

I prefer to hold bitcoin and gold. Because gold is important for a woman like me as jewelry and beauty in me.
And bitcoin as a capital asset for me to buy gold.

I don't know where these questions keep coming from  Grin
Bitcoin has already surpassed Gold in terms of value. however, just like Gold, Bitcoin's value is subject to demand. If people decide to move away from BTC then the price of it will fall.
In terms of war, both have their advantages. At the end of the day Gold has been around for almost eternity whereas BTC is still in its infancy. Having been said, BTC is more transferable and there's no limit to how much of it you can store (physically) whilst the same cannot be said for gold.

Bitcoin is a good asset but to use it in time of war is difficult. In extreme conditions the great value of acquiring assets that have a physical form. No war on earth so many places where bitcoin has no value and you have it no one will take as payment. It's still early to say that bitcoin is a reliable asset.

WTF is Bitcoin? Lol! Bitcoin is the future dude. Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that exists on a network of computers. As long as you have a phone and are connected to the internet you can use the Bitcoin network by buying bitcoins to use on the network.

This is what goldbugs don't get. I still don't understand why Peter Schiff and his orde of fanboys still can't see the benefit of bitcoin when you will need to cross a border and carry your wealth with you.

Can't they realize the fact that if they try to cross a border loaded with gold they will confiscate all of it? what's up with these bunch of idiots? I guess they are all very old people and can't fathom the unquestionable benefits of BTC over gold.

LOL your title is funny anyway, no I don't think bitcoin will replace gold and no there is no war coming. Where did you read all these stuffs anyways? This is not the first time a fork happened so I think you need to do a lot more research about what is coming.

Bitcoin and gold are two different things. There is no possibility that it will replace gold. Bitcoin will be the best form of currency up to date.

The fork is quite a complicated thing and I'm sure many of the people here still cannot understand what is it all about and what we should do when it comes. Making wrong decision at this point of time can be pretty fatal

Bitcoin community member will know about the potential of bitcoin and its all uses but how the laymen will know about bitcoin bro. If you want bitcoin to compete with the gold or diamond that should fame among everyone. Price bumped more than 5k USD till this time bitcoin is known to many of the people in my city. They are all working for the simple salary. Then how bitcoin is comparable with the gold. If compare with the price wise bitcoin crossed one ounce gold's value in the April month itself.

Any sich commodoty in the war is useless. Imagine that if you are in the war and you need some money urgently. What would you do that time? Bitcoin can't acyually replace gold but bitcoin could be called as digital gold and all the digital commodities during a war will be of no use according to me!

No, no, no and one more time no.
There is no war between bitcoin and gold. They are two different things which have many things alike, but the one thing is clear: they are competitors, but not enemies. People may chose between this two as investment, every one chose by that percent of risk and that percent of profit that he or she wants to hold. There is nothing more.
