If you are running Linux, you can use "traditional" Dash sentinel installation:

cd ~/.desirecore
git clone https://github.com/dashpay/sentinel.git
cd sentinel
virtualenv venv
venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt
nano sentinel.conf
edit>>> dash_conf=/root/.desirecore/desire.conf

venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py (it should return no error)

crontab -e
add this line to run sentinel once per minute
* * * * * cd /root/.desirecore/sentinel && ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py 2>&1 >> sentinel-cron.log

Cannot connect to dashd. Please ensure dashd is running and the JSONRPC port is open to Sentinel.

I look in sentinel.py but is only for dashhd ?

1) Try to specify rcpport in desire.conf:
rpcport=9920

2) In sentinel.conf uncomment only first line "dash_conf=..." and make sure that "/root/.desirecore/desire.conf" is the correct location of your desire.conf file

Beware guys. Hostmns.net is not hosting DSR anymore. As in : if you have issues with the sentinel,you are given a refund. So you lose 40$ with the 2 transactions (the refund transfers fee is paid by you).
Maybe they will have the decency to state that on their website sometime as well.

The situation at Coinsmarkets is deteriorating by the hour, Mercatox doesn't accept deposits and at Stocks.exchange the withdrawal of coins, according to a lot of recent complaints, seems to take forever.

Conclusion: there is no safe trade possibility for Desire at the moment.

I trade successfully  in Stocks.exchange i made  yesterday deposit to DSR (transaction about 50min to finish). And then sell DSR change to BTC, buy some ETH and withdraw to other ETH  account (transaction about 2h to finish).

All coins end up trading on one low volume exchange, that's why. We are actively pushing in Discord to add more exchanges right now....

I have a question: I tried to set up a masternode using windows. It didn't work and now when I try to open the wallet it gives me an error message "error reading masternode configuration file. Could not parse masternode.conf" obviously i messed something up when configuring the files but now the wallet won't open so I dont have access to my coins. How do I gain access? Make sure your masternode.conf file looks like this:

Format: alias IP:port   masternodeprivatekey   collateral_output_txid    collateral_output_index
Example: mn1 IP:19919 93HaYBVUCYjEMeeH1Y4sBGLALQZE1Yc1K64xiqgX37tGBDQL8Xg 2bcd3c84c84f87eaa86e4e56834c92927a07f9e18718810b92e0d0324456a67c 1

If this is not working and you want to gain access to your coins you can delete everything in the masternode.conf file but make a backup. The wallet should open if the masternode.conf file is empty.

Before proceeding with troubleshooting, ensure you have a backup of your wallet.dat in C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\DesireCore\
