Hi All, how often do you check on your rigs?  I notice that I get anxiety when I check them -- as if I'm going to find some rigs down.  This has happened a couple of times.

Other times, it has been smooth sailing.

I find myself not wanting to check some times fearing I might see some bad news.

I'm wondering if anyone has a strategy for checking their rigs without it stressing you out.

You could set them up to email/SMS you when one goes down or the hashrate drops below a pre-determined level. That way you can quickly take action.

I don't know why you would be anxious about checking them, I would want to keep them going all the time. Does changing a burnt out light-bulb cause you anxiety too?

I'm checking one in particular because of instability, but generally speaking I use email alerts to not be worried to constantly check, especially when I'll fix the stability issue.

Do you mean checking is control of mining proccess or maintenance of GPU rigs?

I find myself checking less and less. At the begging I would check every few hours which prolonged to once a day. Nowadays I usually check once a week to be sure everything is working.

I have a folder in browser toolbars called 'morning'. There I have list of urls which I check every morning with the coffee. Of course pools are there. So I check my rigs once a day, but I have a tool to restart them if some got stuck.

I use mail notification for inactive workers, rarely check their operations via Teamview, and about each 1 month I come to check the system, and do cleaning.

yeah, 5 months ago when i started i checked  every hour, now once a day if that. Flypool sends me an e-mail, if something stops working, so no need to worry.
Configure bios to start by itself and taskmanager to start mining once windows boots and just forget about it.

I also find myself checking it lesser these days..
But i do have the apps on my phone also simplemining os to keep my eyes on everything.
When i first started i did check often, a few times a day. These days i would check in the morning and before i sleep. Sometimes a few days now. I dont freak out anymore when i see a rig is down. Or has went down and started back up, lol i think after awhile you just get immune to worry too much. Sometimes it would take me a few days to stop by and turn on the rigs that are off. Haha maybe im just slacking these days.
But i think for everyone whos been in this game for awhile, dont go flying to your mining facility just turn on a few rigs anymore.

Depends on the rigs. The AMD rigs mining XMR on Nanopool, I don't check much. Nanopool sends emails if there are issues, and so does the Claymore Manager so I just let'em chug.

My nVidia rig I need to babysit more. You just never know when the damn ccminer might crash out of the blue. Also constantly having to look for the next shitcoin to rape is more time consuming. So yeah. Several times a day.

If you are going to stick with any one coin for mining, probable I would monitor couple of times a day to make sure everything is working fine. Normally I switch to different coins based on the Difficulty levels, sometimes I end up in monitoring / switching 20 times a day.

However you can also setup email alerts when the rig is not running property.

Once a day when I'm usually online. In my bookmark I have a link to Ethermine so I can easily look at the status of my address. The same bookmark/link I have on my phone. Frankly, yesterday was the first time that has happened that I noticed that my RIG stopped and that he didn't work for 2 hours. I just restarted it via remote control and the problem was resolved.

I check once a week i think, only track coin profit changes, rigs will be automatically notified if something wrong, so no need to check that.

My rig is not at my home so I'll check it once at lunchtime and another time before I leave office in case it needs some attention

Not much really. Maybe once or twice a week.
At the beginning (which is about 3 or 4 months ago) I was so excited but anxious that something would fail, so I checked every two hours or so.

The mining pool sends an email if the rig goes down so that's enough. Plus I just casually put my hand near a card and feel its heat which means it's mining Cheesy

It's only in the summer when it gets too hot that I login to increase the fan speed of one specific card that I know is not good with cooling. Having the bookmark of the mining pool page on your phone is also a good option if you just wanna see how stable your rig is.

When I started I was just sitting next to my rig and looking hashrate for sometime Smiley You can set up email to inform you when your worker is not working, but I do not do that also. I just check my rig once a day via teamviewer and cleaning it once a month
