Lumens $XLM has just passed 100% price jump against BTC and ETH, and is already with #1 volume at several major markets it is being traded.

This cryptocurrency got this boost thanks to IBM's collaboration announcement with Stellar and thus debutting blockchain network for crossborder payments. https://www.coindesk.com/ibms-stellar-move-tech-giant-use-lumen-cryptocurrency-payments-rail/

The rise of two cross border payment platforms, Ripple and Lumens, makes me think about the airlines alliances, the question being which one will attract the most, the financial institutions' one or the IT technology focused one?
Here is a link to an article trying to describe the similarities and differences between both cross border payment platforms: https://themerkle.com/ripple-vs-stellar/

Good news for Lumens. They are not looking good at last 3 months but this news trigger the project again.

Is it still a good time to buy if Lumen can sustain the growth in partnerships?

A big question to ask mate, is this another hype to go up again up to 4k sats or just a little pumped then dumped to gather attentions, IBM partnership is really interesting as it really create a big impact to this coin value maybe its also better to buy some xrp as how I notice such things 4 months ago.

I hope it will not be like rise of ripple because I know I am late to buy stellar when I see 100% rise in coin market cap, it will probably rise more.

The rise of ripple might be over, unless it breaks above the recent high

The first target was reached so in technical trading, time to observe whether the trend will hold.

But fundamentally, is XRP on track to becoming a financial staple? Microsoft partnership vs IBM partnership? XRP vs Stellar?

Ripple is like the favorite child of this huge crypto/digital currency world that gets all the right things coming its way but who most don't really like.
I see now that Ripple is down, whilst Stellar is up, I'm curious how this will develop once the Bitcoin forks are over and things come back to a more normal activity.
