So they are not trying to screw us but they are still not giving any good deal it is just normal price!!
No they are charging you the normal WHOLESALE price vs what their retail price will be after a wholly justified markup. You think running a retail business is a near zero-sum game?

I understand markup, and I know they get a better deal than what is listed as retail! When I tell my customers I am giving you one hell of a deal because we screwed the pooch they cannot find a better price any where! That is why I am so pissed because they blatantly screwed the pooch and act like its no big deal while they tell us how good they are treating us. Yet any person ordering a pallet can get the same deal.

I will be standing in their office in a few days if I do not get my refund! If I do not get in while in their office I will go file charges for wire fraud!

I called my credit card company and they insisted it was fraud.

If you order a product and you don’t receive it it’s fraud in the eyes of Capital One.

Whatever you say sir.

I did end up getting my refund. It posted to my wallet day before yesterday, I been running around constructing another mine and kept forgetting to post here that they did process the refund.

I do think it is shitty that I only got .18 bitcoin back when I paid the .39.  And this is why, When I fly to the UAE and purchase a bit of electronics if it fails and I ship it back from any place in the world my refund is made to the original card I used and is for the original amount. If I purchase a item from home depot that is on sale for $10 at the time of purchase then return that item when it is not on sale I only get the $10 sale price back. Same thing goes if I purchase a item for $15 and return it but the item is on sale for $10 when I return it I still get my $15 back. So it seams that the president is already set in the retail market place that when you request a refund you refund is all ways in the original amount paid.

For the fact that they screwed me out of .11 in bitcoin I consider MinerWarez a Fraud!! I will likely spend time and money to publicly campaign against them and use this purchase as the root!

I can see your frustration, did they provide a reason for the subtraction? It seems they are playing with the conversion rate to USD and that is WRONG. No way I will deal with them.

Guys, you pay for a product listed in USD.
Its clear that the nominal BTC value changes - most of these Crypto payment providers even transform the Cryptos directly into the dollar amount at the time of payment.

Here is an example of people getting really screwed.

https://news.bitcoin.com/mt-gox-bankruptcy-claimants-are-not-happy-with-possible-distribution-outcome/

This was well before I got into crypto but it was around the time I first thought about getting involved.

Like others have said regardless of how you paid the price is in relation to the USD. I myself being Canadian, would not receive my full refund in CAD depending on how it is paid my refund would reflect the exchange rate.

Had the price crashed you would still be entitled to a USD rate refund and would be able to fight for that.

Again no one who orderd has to be happy about how things turned out, but it is nice to see that the refunds as promised have been sent out.

That's why I asked if they provided a reason for the subtraction. If the USD amount was the same before and after then yes, what you say makes sense. **But** doesn't that go against what we're trying to do here? Use Bitcoin, or any other coin for that matter, as a currency? Playing games around exchange rates is just wrong.

Has anybody from the December Batch been able to talk to them? I dont recommend them HORRIBLE customer support

If they paid in BTC they should get a refund in BTC, THE SAME DAMN AMOUNT. You are defending something ABSURD. I wonder if things were the other way around would they give him MORE bitcoin to repay the amount in USD? i doubt it very much

You guys must be new to mining. This is how things are done: in USD value at the time of purchase is your refund amount.

Sorry to hear about all the troubles you guys are having... Sad

Hey, so I've left minerwarez a contact on their website asking them to come here to do some damage control. Who knows if they want to keep their virtual doors open and continue to do business in the space, but it never hurts to ask.

I would suggest each of you go to their website and fill out the contact form and ask them to come here to engage with their customers and make an attempt at damage control.

Nah, fuck em. They suck. They’ve proved they’re shittiness and ass fuckery.

I know for a fact the guy that runs miner warez took the miners We purchased and added them to his farm in wenatchee washington.

And then offered refunds because he don’t want to pay 1500 Dollars for a piece of shit 7.3 TH pile of crap from Canaan.

Minerwarez is offering the 821 March preorder for $3,500 each, paid in BTC, and you have to order 10 minimum.  Was this posted a few weeks ago?  Anyone know if the price will be reset anytime?  The other two+ distributors had lower pricing and better payment options for that batch?

https://minerwarez.com/collections/new-equipment/products/new-avalon-821-march-shipping-moq-10-servers

S9s are going $3,500 on ebay at the moment   Shocked

I wish they would come hear and address some of the issues.  Particularly disturbing is the claim that customer 741s ended up in their mine.  I would like that to either be substantiated or refuted.  Pretty serious claim IMO...

I won’t refute it. The guy owns a huge mining farm. I mean, I’m not a psychic but, well... where the fuck did our miners go? Hmmm.

MR. Miner warez should come here and refute it. Otherwise I will continue to spread the only logical explanation that he’s using the miners myself and a lot of others paid for and waited for 3 months. To not get.

MinerWarez is a scam. Ask my credit card company.. they said it’s fraud!

I requested my order be refunded about 24 hours ago and I have NO RESPONSE and NO REFUND!

Same here.  Angry

Same here as well.
Shame as it tarnishes how I feel about Canaan as well, since they are an official Distributor.
Purchased a T9 from Bitmain when I sent the email for a refund from Minerwarez
T9 already shipped and I haven't had a reply back yet.

Im pretty sure they either resold the 741s or used them on their mine. Blokforge shipped all the sold 741 units while Minerwarez gave customers some crappy excuse. Heck blokforge had 741s even on january

Totally Tarnishes how I feel about Canaan. When I ordered the miners, “or should I say when I let MinerWarez take $5000 Of USD to fuck around with for 3 months” they were the only North American distributor on the website.

Meanwhile Bitmain shipped three batches of S9s and yes even BLOKFORGE, popped up on their site and HOLY SHIT they even had some for people in February. So Miner Warez is just a HUGE SCAM Shady ass POS company. And if Canaan still lists them as a distributor I won’t buy from Canaan until they ban those bastards. Not expecting that, so... well Bitmain you’ve proven to be a better company here. And that’s seriously sad I can honestly say that.

I would love to see a response from both MinerWarez and Canaan on this.

I sent Canaan a email when all this went down and never got a response from Canaan..

I me shit we own 210 Avalon 741 units now you figure owning that much of a companies product you could get some one to reply to your concerns.
