Hello!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Mining with GPU's is almost extinct now.  Because of the exponential growth in difficulty, currently 11,187,257, a single 7970 will only earn 0.02922023 every 24 hours.

Given that the difficulty is set to jump massively due to the upcoming flood of asic hardware, you should invest in other ways in order to make your bitcoins back.

I'd suggest investigating AMC shares and ASICMINER shares and/or purchasing asic harware, though delivery dates aren't always honoured!

Good luck.   Smiley

Let me know if you want to pickup some 7950s - I'm not interested in litecoin and am in the process of selling all my extra video cards. I only have 2x7950s left (they're only 5 week old). I found it a bit odd that all my lesser cards sold but nobody even made offers on the 7950s.

What brand/model and how much you looking for? you have the receipt in case warranty issues in future?
