To sum up the thread
I won back my loss

Also, on a further note
I'll never play martingale again  Cheesy

Man....that wasn't smart.  I'm glad it worked out for you, but it would have been a gut shot if you'd have lost ---> it would've hurt.  Advice for the future: set limits!  Do some research on bankroll management schemes, like the Kelly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_criterion), and find one you can apply stubbornly.
really doubt to those people who have done martingale betting strategy to not do it again in the next days you gamble , sometimes it will cross to your mind that doing martingale could be a good idea to double your money , it will always hook you.

even with bankroll management , to make every single gambling session you start in the long run become profitable in green it is like mission impossible.
That was a big bet in the end, he is lucky he won the game but with the odds that is only 1.5 which is he is playing for the favorites.
Your last bet was placed in sports betting, you are good because you were able to predict it right, maybe even if you did not lose in this game, you have to learn a lesson not to do it again, I though it was just a small bet but you really pound it hard.

There you go! Right in the face of everyone telling you to cut your losses and move on.. Agreed martingale can be incredibly scary and cause you to tilt but if you got enough of a bankroll it's usually fine Cheesy.

You stopping with gambling all together or just restarting from here on?

I'm not stopping, I'll be gambling, just not Martingale
A sweet innocent 0.00001BTC bet turns into a 1BTC bet in a matter of seconds

Haha yeah Martingale is a real bitch and I've only ever tried it once or twice, did not like it and it swallowed my entire balance within minutes.. I believe there are a few other systems you could place but for me, I prefer just doing random shit and having fun.. if I win that's just a bonus Cheesy

I'm not a gambler, but if I were you, I won't try it back my losses in fact there's a lot opportunity in gambling that could you make it win back. Just move on and continue to play. Chances are that chasing losses from his own pocket will result to more losses. That's the usually thing in gambling.

I personally would act on impulse and place more bets, despite that probably not being the best thing to do.
Then again it's up to you. The amount you've lost so far isn't close to that you could potentially lose.
Even though the odds of you losing those 16 bets were 0.00179%, those next bets are still 49.5%, so keep that in mind.

I suggest not to, you are just going to lose more of your money and I know that you wouldn't want that to happen, we are doing gambling to win money and not to lose money, but sadly we are losing money on it because of the house, which is the reason why the gambling sites are making huge bankroll everyday, to make the long story short, gambling is compose of more losing than winning.
I am so happy that you become aware of this fact. Gambling is more losing than winning. It is made in such dimension that player lose more and the house get more profit. Hence, you are losing more times than you actually win. Still it is good, in early times, you get to know about it. Better it would be for your future. Keep moving like this and make your life amazingly beautiful.

Never try to win back your losses. That kind of mental attitude has made a lot of gamblers broke, they will sell up the last shirt that they wear thinking that luck will turn to his side. Play moderately, gamble only your spare money, if you lose today, come back next day and start fresh. I believe gambling is made for entertainment, losing all your money is not entertaining.

I think you will need to have a budget for your gambling as well and make sure you stick to it so that you don't have go into the said scenario again, Trying to win back what you have already lost will just make things even harder and make you lose even more money in either the short term or long term. I suggest you stop gambling for the time being.

I have around 500 000 bets placed on FJ
It was a matter of time when this would happen ( placed a lot of bets on not Martingale, so it already happened a lot of times, just not with Martingale)

I got 16 losses in a row
Starting with bet 0.000001BTC
And last bet was 0.03BTC
Counting a 0.06BTC loss total

Now, my question is, should I try to win it back?

I have a total bank of around 1.6BTC on my disposal

Odds of me losing those 16 bets in a row were 0.00179%
Somewhere around 1 to 60 000

Now, if I place a 0.06BTC there's a 50.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.12BTC bet,  0.505*0.505= 25.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.24BTC bet, 0,255025*0,505= 12.88% chance
If I lose, I place a 0.48BTC bet, 0,128787625*0,505= 6.5% chance I'll lose

If I lose, I have a total loss of 0.48+0.24+0.12+0.06 (+0.03) = 0.9BTC (+0.03)

Is it worth it?
Should I cut my losses o.o

Odds of me losing 20 bets in a row should be 1 : 860 000
Which, with me having 500k bets, doesn't sound very good

You got into a series of losses and by some logic you should stop because it's easy to lose even more. But by some law of numbers after you lost 16 times in a row you probably should finally win in next few bets.I think the decision is just for you because money is just yours. If I was in your place I would stop for a while.Since you are in good campaign all you lost will be back to you anyway.I know it's not the same as getting a bet,but let's say it makes sense,at least for me.

If you still decide to bet good luck to you and to get back all the lost Smiley

Yes taking risk is up to you. and as a mate said you are in the good campaign if you lost money also you will get back it in a couple of weeks. So according to me, you can try one more time if you have luck you may win back your losses. If I am in your position, i will try once.

As other mates said, I was also suppose to say that.
But I would like to add something into the discussion that, if you have better plan than the previous one then you should give a try otherwise take a break.
Peoples also loss more when they tries to recover their losses from previous sessions. Besides greed is our best friend.  Wink

Good Luck Mate!

I think gambling is just there for the rush and fun of it. I think most know they will lose money but they still do it because they know if they make sure big win they can just stop. Most people don't make that big win and the thing is do they stop when they get it? So it depends how far you want to chase your luck? Work hard for money or try be lucky and test lady luck to see if she favours you. If you win you won't wish you were back you would be glad you took the risk. If you wish you never took the risk it's only because you have lost. You can choose to keeping going and try push your luck more or stop and cut your loses.

It depends on you, if you have such large amount and you can really afford to lose more then you can try to win back your loss if you decided to do it too . But If were placed on that situation that I encountered a consecutive loss I would just distance myself on any type of gambling as it is not really easy to get back what I've lost and i don't really think it will be possible for me .

Better to do so , you have extra money and just go to casino make a random bet and go away.
You win it then just collect , and when  you lost it don't get heated to place another bet with bigger amount.
You will never find the real end in gambling , accept your lost and you should not think to have profit over and over again.

But for me theres no such reason for them to chase there loses instead start a new woth a new gambling site or try his luck into another ganbling site since he already lack of lucck and if he is going to try to chase that and trying more push more maybe he will be greed more and he will lose more. The main situation is he akready lose his temper to control his self to gamble

I agree, this is the number one cause of people getting addicted, I believe. The reason that addicts keeps on playing is that they really believe they can win on their next try and when they win they will get back all of their money back. Sadly, 99% of the time they are wrong. They will likely end up in more debts than they currently are before they even started chasing their losses.

What I believe is that all the gamblers do look for winning money even if they claim to belong from the fun seeker league. I mean, who on Earth won’t love to get extra money for doing nothing. Gambling is a dangerous game regardless of what someone is seeking in it.

People come back playing this game because of the love of money. It is better to earn hard by making some real efforts as it is more reliable way.

There's a lot of assumption here. Firstly you assume that people gamble and then get in debt instantly? Have you ever gambled or do you know anyone who gambles? The problem gamblers that gets in debt is more than likely a very small % of the total amount of gamblers. Not everyone goes all in and shit bat crazy with their bets/gamblings. A majority of people only play with what they can afford to lose, just a few $ here or a few hundred $ there. So I'm not sure I can agree with you on this one.

Personally considering what I have read and heard form my friends I would suggest that if you have a good foundation and still afford to make loses then you can try your luck again else its a strictly no to gamble back the losses which you may try to win but mostly you will lose out this money as well.

right when we are in long run loss we better stop the game and go home. once our bad luck started it will end when we lose everything in our wallet.

even when you have a large amount and decide to keep doubling your bet amount until you can reach your target to recover your losses , sooner or later your wealth/bankroll would get depleted . don't wait until that moment come. realize it early and avoid to become a broke guy. try to accept your loses and get started with a new purpose of gambling.

Or sometimes gut or luck will make you able win back the loss
I'm ever loss 0.05 with martiangle 50% but after 1 month, I'm back to gamble once again but with different method ( high risk high reward )

Finally I can made 0.09 profit !

Whatever is the case, I will not recommend him coming back and gamble again for what he has lost. There is no surety that he is going to get back all what he lost, you people really need to think rationally. Gambling is a blind game and you never know what is waiting for you next moment. Just stay away from the evil shit and do get involved other productive activities from where you can make some money.
