I have hold BTC in Electrum for some time and really like that wallet. Now, I want to get some ETH. So, I'm wondering what desktop wallet I should choose. I'd like a desktop wallet that doesn't download the full blockchain... These are three options about which I've read nice things on the Internet. What do you think? MyEtherWallet https://www.myetherwallet.comEtherwall https://www.etherwall.comExodus https://www.exodus.io

As far as im concerned Exodus is the best wallet. I love their interface. They are user friendly. The only disadvantage they have is high transacting fees. They are ridiculous. If you plan to transact in small amounts... Stay away from this wallet.

But I understand if you want a wallet with a client based application.

I am using MyEtherWallet, but is it the safest? I didn't see people speaking about Mist. Any opinions on that?

I have both of them, I like MyEtherWallet, fast and easy to use. Not sure about safety, but im pretty sure desktop solution is more safe.

I use Exodus, but with all the new ERC20 tokens coming out, I'm thinking MEW might be a better choice. Exodus will only support an ERC20 if it is on Shapeshift and has a high ranking on coinmarketcap. MEW is apparently way better at handling ERC20 tokens.
I'm not sure, but if export the private keys from exodus, you might be able to run Exodus and Mew side-by-side.

I prefer MyEtherWallet than any other wallet. Very simple (only need to enter private key) and very safe. If you want to try a safer, try to buy Trezor This will make you more comfortable.

I like to use both Exodus and MyEtherwallet based on the necessity and amount of transactions to be done. If you are running a small business with doing small transactions, then i will go with Myetherwallet as their fees is comparatively small than exodus. But if you dont mind spending few dollar's as commission for big transactions to be done then go with exodus as they are highly secured and their user interface is looking quite attractive, and found to be good for beginner's who are new to Ethereum.

MEW is my choice. Wallet that has support of ERC-20 tokens. One thing - you must beware fishing.

Look it doesn't really matter as long as you have control over your private keys, that is what matter the most. Wallets are just like gateways to the blockchain. Worst wallet is when you do not have control over your private keys. Maybe it's worth considering the speed as well, when choosing what to use. MEW would be good.

Il think MyEtherWallet does the job admirably and has the full support for ERC-20 tokens built in.
You have to have your wits about you as there are an awful lot of scams coming from places such as Slack trying to prey on the unwary but as long as you never click links to login in and type the URL yourself you should be fine.
Has support for Ledger and Trezor built in

I prefer MEW, although it is very risky with network and malware, or phishing but MEW is very efficient.

MyEtherWallet is not a desktop wallet but if you don't want to download full ethereum blockchain MyEtherWallet is one of the best option and it lets you hold your private key. If you really want a desktop wallet you can try Exodus. I use Mew for accepting erc-20 tokens and I have Exodus in my desktop pc for storing ethereum and other altcoins (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash) and I don't experienced any problem using both.
