Hi all,

my wife also wants her own account on bitcointalk which would lead to the problem of 2 accounts sharing the same IP address. Is it ok? What are the rules here?

Thanks for answering!

It's not against the rules to have two or more accounts on one IP, but if one of you is banned then both of the accounts could be at risk.

See rule number 18: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Thank you for your answers!

@Velkro: It is really my wife and not my brother and for sure we won't do any strange stuff. We are both too old for that ;-)

And you don't have to. You also don't have to use VPN and don't have to worry about another account having the same IP.
People who are using VPN servers are sharing an IP without even knowing it because the number of addresses by provider is limited.
