FTC real, last death throw, or actual evaluation

So I admit I genuinely surprised at the FTC increase, about 5K btc has been thrown at it to get it up to 0.001 levels from 1/2 that

I am mystified as to why, ok it's go a community but it really offers nothing that LTC does not offer, except its worse....

the only advantage I can think of is that more coins sit on a single level, so it has deeper relative markets so you can sell out quite a bit without effecting the market, so offers tighter trading opportunities.

So over to the forum....why?

It offers a good chance to screw other people that join later. Early adopters are encuraged to promote it since they know it won't be worth anyting in a year.

I might be wrong, but I don't see this surviving '13.

Well I would not go as far as to say it wont survive because that was said about a lot of coins.  I do however agree with the first 2 points. Slow miners have missed the boat... in fact they missed the boat even before launch because the coin climbed in matter of days.

FTC offers absolutely nothing over LTC and is the laziest copypaste job ever. Same genesis block and everything.

As far as I would say not many serious miners started at launch since they overlooked most of the potential and freaked out as they saw it's success. A new altcoin with no technical benefits seems to be a waste of energy to mine so the developers could easyly mine a bunch of them without much competition.

They might even bought the first dump of the other miners and so it looked very stable untill the first sheep wanted to buy that inovative coin.

It's above PPC now, kinda sad thing..

But can't see it other than another pump and dump scheme, 2 weeks ago or so it went to 0017 just to be dumped to 0006 again. But itdefinitely have some loaded pumpers, that's sure, volume in these pumps is very big.

I guess there is still lot of people who got burned in first few days and are now buying to make their entry point lower helping the pump in same time hoping it will reach the point where they could cover losses. I've done that before with some coins, if youhave funds you can't just sit and watch the price being half of what you bought it or even less, you won't recover from that, you have to start buying to make that difference lower and pray for some pump in the future.

I think I'm going to make a coin with 24h transaction time target that automatically performs a 51% split every other day, since buyers seem to love it.

I don't think that they could do that over and over again, so I suppose they will soon dump everyting and abandon ship. More than 2000BTC is in the bid so they could use some of that money for a more "inovative" scamcoin.

The trash coins make it very easy to hide launch of a scam coin so they can easyly mine most of it. They start promoting and buy everything on the exchanges. Once the sheep see a skyrocketing new altcoin with a good promotion ...

Kinda scary how easy that is, but if scammers realize this methode there won't be any new inovative and honest cryptos anymore.

Even stranger, after people saw the random FTC pump they started pumping CNC. It went from .00046 to .00062 for no reason whatsoever. At this point I'm going to turn a portion of my principal over to my dog to invest, as I think he'd do a fine job of picking up on these opportunities I miss out on.

Yeah I actually saw it coming, I just wasn't in the mood to convert some fiat to BTC to chase it as BTC was losing it's ass. It's still 15% over it's pre-pump price. Strange how long these things take to come back down sometimes, people who bit at the top don't seem to want to admit to themselves that they're holding the bag.
