If you take into account that bitkoin is not prohibited by law and does not conduct any illegal turnover, then it is legal!

~snip
There are three main categories of bitcoin stakeholder. Someone may fall under more than one of these categories, and each category has its own legal considerations.

What are those categories, OP? Anyways, going to your subject, "Is Bitcoin Legal?" Yes, it is. And I think it depends on where you are or where you live, and what you wish to do with it. Currently, there are around 70 countries and territories in the world where the status of Bitcoin is legal, although it's not regarded as currency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country

If it speaks of legality, it refers to the rules of every country, because although some states have declared bitcoin is legal, Bitcoin has not been declared legal in most countries. there are some countries that strictly prohibit this cryptocurrency.

I think bitcoin is not legal in all country and bitcoin still in the grey area which means there is no clear statement from the government about bitcoin and they are not makes something for people that still used bitcoin in their daily life. maybe in the future, we can see about the legality of bitcoin and I hope in that time, bitcoin will legal in all country so we can use bitcoin with free and we can still continue to search the opportunity to make money. meanwhile, we still have a chance to make money right now and it is better that we can use this chance.

It has been officially declared legal in some countries and the others just don't care due to lack of knowledge on how it works. Usually, for those countries who don't have enough knowledge about bitcoins, most of the time the people just automatically think that it's a scam without even bothering to read about it - which is kind of funny.

It purely based on the country which you live. Now so many countries accepted bitcoin as legal. Many countries allowed people to use bitcoin for purchase. Some countries allowed their people to use bitcoin with some limitations. But at the same time many countries announced bitcoin as illegal. Hope all the countries will accept bitcoin as legal in future. In my country bitcoin is legal government put some rules to traders only not for people.

Yes bitcoin may be legal  , if anybody use it in legalWay.  If we pay taxes on our income from bitcoin  that will be legal.  If anybody did not pays taxes than income  from  whichever thing will be illegal.

The legality of bitcoin depends on who you are, and what you’re doing with it.

There are three main categories of bitcoin stakeholder. Someone may fall under more than one of these categories, and each category has its own legal considerations.

If fiat currency can be use by anyone by bad and good people then same with the Bitcoin currency in which it can be use by both good and bad people and both in legal and illegal acrivities too.The same currencies for spending with only the appearance is the difference but the good thing for Bitcoin is it can be regulated so that it can only be use in legal means. I just don't understand what are these 3 categories that are you talking about?

In some place it's legal but in some it is not. Some countries don't have a clear view on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies like here in my country. Bu I think my government has a positive insight on it so I don't worry once they start to focus on addressing bitcoin.

Depending on which country you live, if your country prohibits bitcoin then bitcoin becomes illegal and if your country receives bitcoin then it becomes legal.

In some countries bitcoin is legal. But some countries starts the war against bitcoin. They don't want bitcoin at all. And they don't want their people yo engaged in bitcoin. Because they think that bitcoin is just a bubble.

Of course it's legal. Like any other type of activity, it can be used for good deeds and not. It's not recognized as legal, those to whom it is uncomfortable. It's like "fighting terrorism") If you understand what I mean))) They all agreed, we just need to pretend that someone is struggling with something to continue to master the state budget.

Mostly depends on the country, but generally it's legal.

What's illegal is using it for illegal means, such as money laundering, etc. Just follow the rules/regulations of your country.

Obviously, when using Bitcoin, you have to be a bit more careful (aka watching the news, etc) than when using fiat, as fiat is generally more socially accepted.
