Shutting down the internet can destroy bitcoin but this kind of move is impossible. Bitcoin can be destroy by the one who created it but it's not gonna happen. I think the government has a true power to destroy bitcoin for banning it so every people will discourage to used any cyrptocurrencies.
I agree that there is little chance from outside that someone will force the bitcoin to leave...but what if it kills itself if it doesn't develop and improve?
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

It has already been answered a lot of times before.. but yes, there are some ways that bitcoin could be destroyed, the most common way is if all the most important banks decide to spread a massive fud over bitcoin, and this will make the whole market collapse and everybody will enter in panic selling mode, and this will make the price go down by some thousands. And then, some governments will do the same as the banks, and everybody would lost their faith on bitcoin, or almost everyone.

I agree about it. There are also ways to destroy bitcoin especially when banks started to compete with it and do some tactics to control it. I agree about what you said about users will surely lose their interest and trust in bitcoin when that time came where the value of bitcoin becomes lower and lower. Also the gvernment has a part to it because they can use their power to ban bitcoining in their country and that will be the end of it.

I think there are some ways to break the bitcoin, especially the banks, because banks do not want bitcoins into new currency currencies that will take over from their currencies, so if banks spread cheats on bitcoins, then they do not believe in digital currencies. . currency. such as bitcoin

Is there any way to destroy the bitcoin?  Not to hack or fake it but completely destroy the system.
i think to destroy bitcoin is to hack the block chain because that is the core of a cryptocurrency like bitcoin. but is not an easy thing to do since the blockchain is design with high security a cryptic system and it is decentralised that even a government cannot control it.
I am not an IT expert, But since bitcoin is done on the web through internet, and it is a systematized chain which is design with strict security. It may be destroy by an expert on computer encryption with a very deep insight on cryptocurrency. But the question is why would anyone do that since digital currency creates a new generation tools in economic growth. Better to regulate it rather than find ways to shut it off.

Destroying bitcoin is so impossible to do since it is decentralized, no one could destroy it except to its developer of course, and that is Satoshi Nakamoto. Destroying bitcoin is like destrying all of our dreams, besides, who would have do such thing like that, except for an insane person. Instead of thinking useless thing like that, investors are thinking on where they are going to use bitcoin.

I mean they are thinking another way to be more successful and earn money aside from bitcoin. Bitcoin is just helping us to achieve our goals and make our dreams come true.

I think if there is such thing that will cause for the company of bitcoin destroy or there journey would be end , that would be their clients or investors.
The client of the company is their life blood and the reasons why they are still survive. If all companies lose their client; their existence in this world will also gone.

It is too late to destroy Bitcoin. If governments started to ban Bitcoin in 2012, they wouldn't have had a problem with it now. The only thing that could disrupt the network is 51% attack. Fortunately, this attacks is too expensive to perform. The only thing I would worry about is Bitmain which is the largest manufacturer of ASICs. Currently, there is no competition for them. Lack of it may cause stagnation in releasing new version of their miner.

If, although unlikely, someone can and decides to destroy Bitcoin it will pretty much mess a lot of people, a lot of dreams will be thrown right into the trash can. :| including mine

yes there is a way,i think the worst case could be a 51% attack.i heard some time ago a chinese farm was short before 50% but they slowed down their hashpower because they did not want to hurt bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a popular cryptocurrency. Many people have invested in Bitcoin and earned money. But is it possible to stop Bitcoin? The truth is that many big governments don’t like Bitcoin because it threatens their monopoly over printing money. And nobody likes to lose monopoly. Since banks and governments don’t like Bitcoin.

You can't be sure in currency security. But you should know, that first bitcoin code has bags and technical problems. Community is always working to improve bitcoin security. And, as you know, nobody interested in its safe and reliability as much as coin holders. So, eben if something will happen with code, it won't be a problem.

1. Miners not mining anymore.
2. Government intervention for multiple reasons. One, mining consumes a lot of electricity therefore bad for the environment. But, if the consensus algorithm switches to proof of stake that will consume much less electricity. Politics and economics. Regulation matters because bitcoin cannot be tracked and it's only a question of whether the government would like to implement it.

But if comunity with switches to proof of stake, what will be with miners and BTC price? At first days BTC price was calculated according to electricity consumption for mining. And how will be with PoS?

no mannerism to be destroyed, one hours of daylight it will be destroyed by itself. at a time taking into account prices are no longer affordable by little investors, and they select new crypto as investment moreover bitcoin will profit out of quirk. so we don't have to think approximately how bitcoin will infect, just waiting for period and we can flavor it all. from now we should begin bothersome not to rely not far afield and wide off from bitcoin every second rate.

Fully destroying bitcoin will need a lot of work and not just one person can do all of those. There has to be a group of highly intellectual people who can bypass all the algorithms of bitcoin and doesn’t sound so possible.

https://b2x-segwit.io/ was made by blockstream devs.
The goal of fork is  to destroy bitcoin.
Blockstream devs openly work on destroying bitcoin with fees, and now also with stupid forks.
Blockstream is on Roger Ver payroll? The only man who benefits from this SegWit drama is Roger Ver with his Bitcoin.com website. Andreas Antonopoulos, biggest 1mb limit shill, was openly paid recently by Roger Ver in form of "donations". Roger Ver goal is full control of bitcoin software and bitcoin.com website, so he can be a bitcoin boss. And the only way for him to succeed is destroying bitcoin.org software.

Yes there is a possible way to destroy bitcoin everyone can destroy it our community too because the reason why bitcoin is keep rising it is because of the investors or people who trades it so if no one use bitcoin and no one invests or trades it it will be losing or decreases in market economy but it is too hard to destroy it because there a millions of people using bitcoins around the world so dont expect bitcoin will be destroy unless theres a new futuristic cryptocurrencies it will be an enemies

Is there any way to destroy the bitcoin?  Not to hack or fake it but completely destroy the system.

I think that the only thing that could destroy bitcoin is when internet connection will be destroyed. If this happens, bitcoin will not be accessible and it can't be used. However, I really think that this is impossible to happen. Bitcoin will continue to surge because bitcoin is now becoming more famous because of it's convenience and profitability.
