No. Cryptocurrencies cannot be destroyed. They are code running on computers. As long as someone keeps running a wallet, has a backup of the wallet and perhaps even a backup of the blockchain every once in a while, your node will keep the system running. There needs to be at least one wallet and one miner. If only a single miner were mining a cryptocurrency, its difficulty would become low enough to allow the miner to mine the proper amount of blocks, regardless of the power of his miner.

In Bitcoin there is a sophisticated technology that I think cannot be destroyed except what makes Bitcoin want to shut it all down. Bitcoin can be destroyed if in this world there is no more internet network. Because of access to Bitcoin, of course, there must be internet flowing. If the internet is stopped automatically Bitcoin will also just die.
