Pool has been setup at

http://alpha.miningpool.co

Stratum only: stratum+tcp://alpha.miningpool.co:8822

The pool seems running, but I tried for 30 mins, my status always zero, I think something is not working. I am back to solo.

This coin wins the award for worst artwork.  Wow.  Just wow.  Did you spend a whole minute in MS-Paint ?

Love the off center circles and the pixellation on the edges

Pretty sure fastcoin is still the champ there.

C'mon man.  Stop hating on the blue cheetah!

Sorry - there was a bug. Has been fixed now. Bad timing - had to leave for a few hours.

Balances have been credited to accounts. And all should be working as normal now.

To encorage early adoption the coins per block is high for the first 3 days (block time):
   - 1st day: 500 coins per block
   - 2nd day: 200 coins per block
   - 3rd day: 100 coins per block

Why? Your not encouraging early adopters, your encouraging a mining spree for 3 days, and then a pump, and, dump.
Come on people, atleast learn SOMETHING from all the failed coins of late.

Have you noticed  that one of the first sites to use a new altcoin is a gaming site??

"Wow! I just mined 100,000 coins in a day!  Gee, what can I do with them since there is no place to exchange them?  I know, I'll place a few bets and win 100,000 more!"

"Damn! Lost every hand - guess I'll have to go mine some more..."

...Repeat...

Keep your opinion and don't mine it, it's simple  Grin

With a quip such as 'Employable, but it'll cost you' your credibility is zero on this Wink

since you are mining like a boss, why not employ me to hold on to your alphas?

We are missing payouts for blocks 3206, 3234 & 3263. It actually looks like the pool is only paying out every other found block.

Also block 3213 I was there for the full round putting up 20% of the pools hash power and got 13 coins. Maybe I still don't get how PPLNS works but this seems a bit..shit.

Something is off at that pool.

With 2Mh/s, I would only get around 1,500 coins a day.

I could mine more than 3 blocks solo at 0.5 diff.

Something's wrong, I think.
40+ minutes hashing, and didn't receive a single pay.

I don't get pay yet, don't know how many confirmations needed before the payment made. But I do see I have a bunch of unpaid shares. If you have valid unpaid shares, and they are increasing, it should be fine.

In some other pools, sometimes I get paid only like 1.5 hrs mining, but of course, if I stop mining, I will still get paid for a while, there's delays that pool want make sure the coins are paid.

We've just had three blocks pay out in a row (3299, 3308 & 3309)...

...followed by three confirmed blocks with no payout (3317, 3319 & 3322).

3337 & 3339 just paid out.

What's going on here?

need ethought to check this... he's not online.

I see the pool waits 120 confirmations, so it's like 1 hr? that's the min time you need to wait for a payout. Of course within 1 hr after you stop, you still get pays.

I was going to attach a full diff from the litecoin source, but I don't see any way to on this forum.

I would encourage anyone running these clones to always do a diff first, review, and then build from source.  These things could easily contain a trojan that would steal any other coins you might have mined on the same machine.  Another good practice is to run in a separate VM or chroot jail and be sure to use different rpc pw for each coin.

Anyway, I didn't see anything suspicious in the diff for this one in a quick 5 minute review.

here is the quote for the genesis block.

"June 8, 2013, 12:58 AM JetBlue Airways Corp. says a Florida-bound plane was diverted to Newark International Airport in New Jersey after being struck by lightning"

Psst!!  Wanna make bitcoin unstoppable? Why the Only Real Way to Buy Bitcoins Is on the Streets. Avoid banks and centralized exchanges.   Buy/Sell coins locally.  Meet other bitcoiners and develop your network.   Try localbitcoins.com or find or start a buttonwood / satoshi square in your area.  Pass it on!

lol, interesting paraphrase, apparently copied from the daily news  Grin

usually when source code posted, I feel secured. I never using client without the source code posted. Also always check the download client with a virus detector. This one seems fine, my Norton did not say anything.

1hr and 20 minutes later.... I got paid... 2.8 ALFs
Oh F... and I just found a block. (500 ALFs for the pool)
I knew it was going to happen.

The fact that source is posted, doesn't mean the Binaries are safe Tongue
