Has anyone tried Storage Mining STORJ?

https://storj.io/share.html

is it worth it?

just received email saying they will soon be listed on Polionex.

"Poloniex will soon begin trading STORJ tokens! To stay on top of this news from Poloniex, one of the largest exchanges by volume, follow us on Twitter, join Rocket Chat, check our blog"

It's the same to me. After 2 weeks, my 55TB moves back to Burst mining which does not eat my internet bandwith.

Getting contracts is slow.  You might designate 1TB of space for use, but only get a slow consumption of that space over time.  I have some drives that have 600GB actually being used, but that took several months.  The payouts are decreasing over time as well.  The average payout per GB is a tiny fraction of what it was several months ago.  You can easily double the size of storage being used and still get less of a payout from the previous month.

Not sure of the future, but I split my drive space between Storj and Burst.  As Storj shards begin to fill, I expand their size from the Burst pool.

I´m mining STORJ as well, but only "for fun".
Last payment was in mid october: 6,37 SJCX (2,9$) for ~600GB.
Gettings contracts is indeed very slow. It took me about 2 month for my 600GB.

Are Burst and Sia more profitable?

Yes, it's not worth at all. It's buggy as hell.
It's eating ram like crazy. After few days you can expect ram leaking,
doesn't matter how many ram you have, it will eat all ram.
Sometimes 32GB isn't enough for 3 HDDs.

This is my signature...

I've got 5.642 but have only 100Gb now. So it is very variable, depending on downloads. But anyway it is not profitable at all.

Tried it. It's useless.
All the hard drive mineable coins are useless right now.
Same goes for Burst.

We tried it in the Uk and we threw 150TB of storage using a 100MB Dedicated Tier 3 connection and basically made no money. we gave them the perfect setup and ample space and it was an utter waste of time, we will be going back to Burst. If something else comes up we will try that and see how it works.

Yes very profitable, For them if you check out their website you'll see they're a private company selling your storage space to people for money, What they will pay you is just 50% of what you are already spending for internet alone, I'm not counting the hardware cost.
They say that for now everything is done manually, Like sending out the monthly payments, You wanna trust them to pay you some profit? Imagine if every day one noob just tries to test their system for a month, They don't need anything else Cheesy

Or course with new tech, some will take advantage, but there is still a long road of developmental, this is just version 1.5 of our future..

The payment of Storj to farmers is a disaster, many are dissatisfied. In the long run this could break them up.

At this moment I found Burst, it is Proof Of Capacity based cryptocurrency that you mine just by plotting your free hard drive space (HDD).
They are about to have (Lightning Network/Ring Signatures / Tangles /Zk -Snarks/ Atomic Swaps) check their WP.
HDD space used to mine Burstcoin and it is not the same as Stroj as their are more as the cloud provider.
Quite nice community and the team seems to be back on track, they are implementing a hard fork really soon. https://www.burst-coin.org/
Also there are StorageMining.io - creating cloud storage mining service - for less techie people to mine Burst.
Take a look, thank you for your time.
