BTC can only destroy itself. BTC nin derivatives also grow btc. Almost 60% of the market is dominated.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Nothing is a bitcoin killer. BTC is so huge and controls the entire crypto market. It even has mainstream name recognition, which nothing else in crypto has. Possibly in the future something will supplant it, but this seems extremely unlikely at the moment.

Maybe Segwit2x might be a BTC killer in creating 2 coins and 51% attack possibilities. No-one knows, we will see

Supporting Metronome is like supporting a bunch of garbage that claims to be gold.

After the last ascension, I realized that BTC would not be able to replace a plant.

I can not understand all this disappointment .... no one said that killer bitcoin but MTN might be a solution because it takes the good of bitcoin and ethereum and puts them together with the chance to move between blockchain maybe because bitcoin transactions cost too much or overloaded ... the site as simple as the metronome concept

I don't think any coin will replace bitcoin, in fact if a coin manages to improve on bitcoin I don't see why bitcoin wouldn't simply copy it, it would then be able to offer the same but would already have its existing support in the market.

What are your thoughts?  Tezos?

I am SOOOOOOOO sick of "bitcoin killer" threads. No, your crap altcoin is not going to "kill" bitcoin.

Can we just stop with this nonsense already? Pretty please?

We certainly don't intend it to be a "bitcoin killer"...   Metronome requires a blockchain to secure it.

P.S. Posted an announcement thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2450739.0

to hard to say that statement. Plus their ICO format seems to be the downside of the project. Hopefully they can change that

The project is very good as an idea. The ability to move all the chains is a very good idea. But ICO is a little different and problematic. The auction is not a very good idea.

Yeah, I was considering this coin, but I am not a fan of the format either. Another one to wait until it hits the exchange.

I read about this Ico, it looks pretty promising and with the road map there everything is in order. But the killer bitcoins is certainly unlikely, but the fact that it is possible to profit from it yes.
