Waves, iota, xmr and xrp. They are still undervalued. Good to invest while their price are still low and affordable and you have extra money to invest.

I checked the price of several altcoins where value dropped 20-30x since June:

BTS, ZCL, LBC.

Perhaps these are the safest buys.

any ideas?

I can see why you included BTS. It's been at rock bottom at quite some time now and with Larimer's EOS recently exploding i don't see a reason for BTS prices to not have the same kind of growth, even though it is indeed a pretty old protocol.

Also Steem, seems like it's just caught fire recently and caused quite a stir. But personally i can see it go much higher still.

Basically any currency that is in its infancy and nobody is noticing it yet(ADA pre-pump, EOS prepump), or cryptos coming off huge pumps and is bottoming(including sia).

I see Quantstamp, IOTA (waiting for it to pull back more before I rebuy), Substratum and Vechain undervalued at the moment.

I would add Encrypgen, but it's gone crazy the last few days. Still see huge value in this project though. Would wait for a pullback, if it ever gets to one Smiley

I think  most undervalues altcoins is NEO. It is not a fair price for NEO and I think it will be increased soon.

I think so too, EOS without product has almost the same market cap as NEO

Spectrecoin (XSPEC).  Privacy coins are the wave of the future, and Spectrecoin has some of the most robust privacy and anonymity technology available.

There are only around 21 million in circulation, yet the price is still well under $1.  This is not likely to remain the case for long.

This is one coin which should easily reach $5-10 within a year, and it would still be grossly undervalued, imo.

You can find out more about this hidden gem here: http://coinwiki.info/en/SpectreCoin

If just looking for safe of course benefit will not be great. just try it coins such as litecoin or ethereum, bitcoin. If you want to get lucky a lot then it should be bold in taking a risk.

Looking for safe investment is not bad idea but there is no such thing like "x coin gonna be huge after 4 month or 2 years". Litecoin has potential but mass adoption will bring huge volatility to undervalued coins like ltc.

Looking into Spectrecoin (XSPEC), it seems intriguing.

The tech is similar in many ways to Monero but what separates Spectre is that it's proof of stake so you get a 5% yearly interest. It will also primarily function through the TOR network with obsf4 to allow usage in TOR blocked countries like China.

Right now the market cap is hovering at 6-7 million. The development team is working ultra hard to roll out the next updates. Mobile wallet staking will come in 2018. Monero is at a 3.5 billion market cap. It is great tech. But it seems likely that privacy coins are all going to grow in need as governments are going to try and contain capital flow through the more public cryptos like bitcoin.

It's no Monero, but there's no reason why Spectrecoin coin can't co-exist. Someone put it like this, while Monero is a privacy Bitcoin, so a secure storage of value, Spectrecoin aims to be like Litecoin. It will try to be method of lightweight, fast private transactions. I don't see how it can't hit a market cap of say 100 million like a Verge or 250 million like a PIVX. Just look at this chart and compare the tech. If Spectre does manage to blow up that's some absurd returns.

PEERCOIN

And your reason for seeing such a rise for peercoin is?

1. Increase in volume

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/peercoin/historical-data/

Before the 25th it had a daily volume of less than $1,000,000 a day which some exceptions.

Nov 29, 2017   2.39   4.43   2.39   3.21   16,859,100   58,452,500

On Nov 29, it received 16 million USD of volume rising more that 16-32x of what it previously had and had a a price increase of 85% then stabilised in the following days to sub $3 range. Ever since has received more than $2 million USD daily volume.

2. Up coming roadmap
Roadmap - https://twitter.com/PeercoinPPC/status/935917549279174656
- Peerassets - Conference
- A start of Peercoin Foundation
- Update of the website and more updates regarding the development of Peercoin!
- Soft fork which will occur on the 12/12/2017.

Another roadmap-

Full roadmap - https://twitter.com/PeercoinPPC/status/936960339207434240

3. Sponsor to fund Peerassets (tokens) and development of Mobile and Desktop wallet

https://twitter.com/PeercoinPPC/status/937713523957825537

Age of coin
Peercoin is the first ever P.O.S and has been successful in it implantation and environmental change it had. It is ready to move further now.  Smiley

Also, I heard rumours two days before it received $16 million USD of volume that a group of large BTC holders will be going into PPC.

Let's be real here. SiaCoin and LBC are the real undervalued altcoins that had a working product and not a prototype. There is a big gap between both coins all-time high with the current price. So I expect the coin will going to blow up.

Other coins worth to mention is Ethereum and Stratis. In my opinion, Ethereum is still undervalued, and Stratis will get a lot of news and releases in the coming month.

I would say definitely not too late.  The old adage is "buy low," and right now it is not far from its three month low.
