Oh, FFS. If you want to collect forum members' IPs, at least post the tacking URL as an image.

See? Not that hard.

um yeah it is. I know because my Uncle is a DTF agent. its only illegal if you accept the package. if you refuse to take it they can't charge you.

Yeah, this is true in practice. However, it would be easy to argue in court that you didn't know what the package was, so of course you signed for it!

you won't get any argument from me on that end. i got a package today from hongkong and my heart dropped. i was like what what the fuck is this? turned out it was just a usb drive  i ordered from amazon. but i agree with your point. problem is, it doesn't stop them from arresting you if you sign for it.

Don't get me wrong i hate guys like this that scam people, but in this particular instance i'd rather just pay him ten bucks and get on with my life. its not worth going to jail and having to get a lawyer which is costly and time consuming in the long run, especially if you factor in bail on a felony charge such as recieveing drugs in the mail, which is a conspiracy charge in most states.

As far as the people he is trying to scam, i'm not advocating they pay the "ransom" or whatever he is holding over there heads. I'm just telling them if he's really got their info and wants to send them drugs from silkroad, there is basically nothing stopping him.

Yeah, the line of thinking there is pretty retarded. I was very disappointed when I learned that this was done.

If anyone has any problems from the authorities, though, please have your lawyer contact theymos. Better yet, make your local police department aware of the situation before there is ever an issue.

Ugh, didn't know that. With this thread and the messages though, would be easy to establish a pattern of harassment.

Another trick: If you receive an unknown package simply grab a sharpie, cross out your address and write "Return to Sender" on the outside. DO NOT OPEN! You can either drop it back in the post or just forget to do so and keep the evidence.

You have no legal obligation to the package after doing so as long as it remains unopened.
