Mine what ? Mining needs some equipment that has the ability to solve blocks rapidly.
That's why gpu cards are used because they have that.

You guessed it, you can't do anything considered as mining on a raspberry since it has no decent cpu and you can't attach gpus to it.You need to build a proper mining rig if you're interested and have the funds available.

However, I'm not sure but I think you can setup a masternode on it. Research more about masternodes and if it's profitable but it needs you to have some basic knowledge in linux.

(cost & power) than using real CPUs.

There's a thread in this forum with a guy doing this with 150 ARMs, he calls it 600 cores, claims it's more
efficient for the algo he mines with.

I don't mine with them but the Pi's do act as good mini-servers to run software that monitors my rigs. They also work well to drive wall mounted LCD monitors so I can keep track of not only my rig up-times, but select coin prices as well.

I have 2 Pi setups... one is a Pi Zero W running gridseeds and the other is a pair of Pi 3's CPU mining. With the correct optimization and pool choice the CPU miners can mine minor crtptonight and m7m coins. I started mining bytecoin about 24 hours ago and have been rewarded 5 so far, current value of bytecoin is $0.004089 USD... about 2 cents in 24 hours. Considering the pi's only cost $0.23 each to run all month, I won't get rich but I'm still coming out ahead. This is also without overclocking the units... the pi's will derate the CPU when it gets to 80 degrees C so unless you have proper cooling it's counter productive. But with the testing I've done it seems like the Pi's get about a 10% increase in hashing power for every 100gHz it's overclocked. Unfortunately until my cooling parts show up I can't give any long term results.
