What do investors need to know about investing in the technology of AR?
🏙⬇️Here are a few important facts from IDC analysts.
In 2017, all IT giants participated in the battle on the AR market! The most powerful spurt was made by #Apple, introducing its SDK, ARKit and IPhoneX. Google released ARCore for Android. Microsoft combined AR and VR on the MixedReality Platform.
Facebook and Snap prepared users of mobile AR platform for social networks. Even Amazon appreciated this technology for the development of e-commerce.
All in all, the year 2017 was particularly rich in new solutions for developers, and next year we expect a whole series of high-profile premiers in the AR headsets market and mainly in Magic Leap One.
📍IDC predicts that specialized equipment for augmented reality will take about a third of the market for points and helmets by 2021, which is about 30 million units.
Well, the main news of the coming year is the entrance of the Arcona ecosystem to the market, which will unite developers of augmented reality and manufacturers of headsets on the same site.
