Segregated Witness is a soft fork upgrade to the blockchain and was activated in 2017. Segwit address is more efficient because it uses a new structure for storing transactions which allows more transactions to be fit in each block which leads to a lower transaction fee. It is more secure because it does not include signature data in transaction hash which make it more resistant to fraud and theft as compared to legacy. Segwit address and backward compatibility with legacy through which you can send and receive funds from Legacy even if you are using a Segwit wallet.
Its weakness is like taproot, is not widely supported and is not private like taproot.


LEGENCY ADDRESS
Legacy is the oldest type of Bitcoin address and is different from the rest. legacy is more widely supported and is the old one. It is easy to use as compared to others and is more private than Segwit because it does not include signature data in the transaction hash.
Its weakness is that it is less efficient and less secure and therefore it leads to higher transaction fees and is vulnerable to fraud and theft.


SCRIPT ADDRESS
Script address is a type of address that can be used to send Bitcoin to a smart contract. It is not commonly used as others. This address is more flexible than legacy and Is used for wider purposes.
