The best thing you can do is just buy right now, the price is at $5700 at the moment and it wong go down, the charts are saying that it will probably go to $6000 before Monday, and there haven't been any bad news during these days, so it is not going to go down.
And there is going to be a new fork on November 11th, so this is the best time to buy if you want to make some easy profit from it quickly.

Have a little more money to invest in crypto. I'm a little anxious to buy now as I speculate there may be a nice pull back on the price post-fork. I'd like to buy some BTC and some alt coins with about half of it.
Worth getting now and getting some B2X or wait til after the fork?
They have teached us to buy into the fatal dips lasting days.
They teached us to not fear the forks, because of free altcoin distribution. Gold, Cash, whatsnot.

Since you said "a little money" where is your risk? Why wait? A more Gung-ho attitude and do it today, since waiting doesn't increase it's value anyways. Remember fiat getting dilluted by central banks on a daily base.
I think that the OP wanted to say he doesn't have a lot of money to spend on investment and that's why it should be done in the best possible way.
OP, I think it is better to wait for a couple of weeks. The price always falls down at some point. I don't think it will fall more than 15% though, so if this is not much for you according to your budget then feel free to invest right now.
IMO, BTC price will rise nearer to the fork. I will buy now if I were you.
It has already grown due to btg fork, I don't think people will really do the same thing again. I don't like this price growings being related to forks.. I guess it's a substitute for what eth and neo have with icos. It's a factor which may lead to even more unstable prices than we are used to.
15% dipdown on price is hard to see as of but yet its possible. If we do try to see on after Bitcoin gold event we did see price pullbacks and for those who did enter on those pullbacks did able to make money as of now but yet we are not still hitting $6k price as of now yet which means its not really too late to buy some bitcoin for this upcoming fork. Price will possibly shoot up and might hit $6500 price but isn't still sure since no one could able to predict on what would happen on this upcoming fork.If you can handle the risk on buying now then its still a good move after all.

The best thing that you can do is just to buy right now, it is not going to happen because we are going to have the Segwitx2 fork in two weeks from now, and you all know that one week before the fork everybody will be crazy for buying some bitcoins only to receive those free tokens as well.
So put that money on a exchange and buy bitcoins now before it is too late, maybe tomorrow you wake up and see bitcoin over $6000 again.

Definitely wait a few weeks Bitcoin is projected to crash within these coming weeks no point in buying at the peak.
this!
nobody can preditct it but I would say from a technical analysis perspective a crash is overdue. a lot of technical indicators on the daily chart and also elliot waves are looking bearish
also fundamentally there are high risks coming up with the 2x fork which perhaps will stop the bitcoin chain due to massive hashrate drop. this could cause a price crash

It's depends to you if you buy bitcoin or not. But invest only you can afford to lose because they have possible the price increase because the fork in november so the investor of bitcoin have doubt about the price so other sell it. But dont worry about it for sure after the fork the price will continue to increase. You can wait few weeks after that you can buy bitcoin with your extra money.

i would personally get in after the fork because right now people are still quite uncertain but the price is still around the same as the all time high(just a few hundred dollars off from $6000 which is still quite a crazy high amount).

Once the fork comes, there might be an initial sell off before a recovery.

Wisest thing to do is to by just before or right after the fork, in my opinion.

These are not the days before Bitcoin Cash fork. These are the post Bitcoin Gold days. Last July 2017, prior to the August 1 SegWit2x, the sentiment was that there is some panic about bitcoin's uncertain future with the implementation of the SegWit2x and the release of Bitcoin Cash. However, it proved to be just some way for bitcoin to rise high very fast after the release of Bitcoin Cash. And now before Bitcoin Gold is launched, instead of bitcoin dipping in value, there is another surge happening. I guess the days before the November fork will see another round of price flying instead of dumping.

All decision is yours but for me I will hold my bitcoin and keep buying bitcoin before the fork because if I have a lot of bitcoin I have a lot of also bitcoin gold. Its up to you if you buy today or befire the fork or after fork. Because what eve the result you will be benfits or sacrifice that. But if you undecided until now its better if you invest rhe half before the fork and other half after the fork .

It is generally better to buy before fork or segwit. Yes it ll be hard to dump if bad things happen but I think its low chance nd its harder to buy first hours after fork. Network/chain would be very slow.

Wait it out after fork imo, there will be some fud after it to get the price down for sure
But that will be so long, this time the bitcoin seems get another little correction but we are know about what will be happening in the future about the middle of november, 2x fork for bticoin. That will be a good thing to buy at the cheap price.
Isnt better to wait a bit longer for bigger drop so you can buy more btc with same amount of $,btc will drop for sure

there are strange times we're in, nobody knows what's going to happen
the say i see it, btc price's gone up too much in the past few weeks and i don't see that as a healthy climb

a correction is bound to happen, the million dollar question is when...

It made me remember of something, the time when bitcoin cash was about to come in the market and no doubt that the fork is a real strike on the bitcoin so your prediction of cash crash can be true but the question I whether to leave bitcoin or not.

Definitely selling out bitcoin will be very profitable only if the holder will buy it again during the dip. Simply holding it in bad weather will also save from some serious wealth causalities.

Maybe it's time to act cautiously and wait a little. I am convinced that there will be a lot of volatility in the coming days due to the hardfork and since the high level that is reaching the bitcoin price these last days, it would not be rare to see a significant downward correction.

with the fork it's most likely to get shorted, however bitcoin gold had no real impact. So interested to see whether this 'hark-fork' will make a difference.

I think that in 10days  btc will be around 7000-8000 usd
so maybe the best option is buy today if you want quick money.
if not buy after the segwit.
