Bottlecapsplus.conf file when downloaded and started has;

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=hRjrZXVDFbgXmwV

Is this ok to change?  Or does it really matter?

Thanks

using the daemon on linux
i try using
   sendfrom <account> <to-address> <amount>
and get an error about "Invalid BottleCapsPlus address"

i tried two different addresses
    EkVHAenWyBGJChz2DZSdozMgPHRhziTjkn
    F357LDYubo7w3SyaiDfPjNPoo9npibHs8a

which were generated inside the caps+ windows QT wallet
the account (unomp-mining) does exist and has sufficient funds

update: but 'sendmany' works with the same F35... address

Change to what you want.

@Vampius

What's the optimal block size?

It based on difficulty and statistic, but now I think input size 1000 will be fine, and split threshold 1500 (splitthreshold=1500000000)

I fix this bug, soon upload update, but this command work only for received coins.
All mined coins, PoW and PoS go to empty account and you need command:
sendfrom "" F357LDYubo7w3SyaiDfPjNPoo9npibHs8a 500

Wallet is up an running with coins sent from Vampirus.

Bottom right hand corner (GREY UP ARROW) when you hover over with mouse says:  No suitable inputs were found

- Wallet is unlocked
- Wallet is up to date
- Wallet has 8 active connections

What could this be?

You need minimum 3 day old input for staking. (in original CAP 15 days)

i had already done a 'move' to a useful account name of the funds, i hate that null account.

I see checkpoint server still not running.
@Tranz and @ReydeApio where is checkpoint server?

Tranz shared some instructions and tips for setting up the checkpoint server. I saw someone mention they had a daemon running:

okay, i have the daemon running fulltime accepting incoming connections.
in fact, i'm already in Turrican's nodelist Smiley

@vampirus That would probably be a great option for running the checkpoint as he's already got a daemon up and running. Should you need any guidance message me when you get the checkpoint key from Tranz.

Have a great circadian cycle in the simulation!

I receive only public key and insert it in code. May be @dnp have daemon on home computer not on server.
I have  24/7 internet with 4 home computers that never off, and can run server myself, but you and @tranz want diversification.

I receive only public key and insert it in code. May be @dnp have daemon on home computer not on server.
I have  24/7 internet with 4 home computers that never off, and can run server myself, but you and @tranz want diversification.

my home server has been running continuously since i registered the domain in august 1997.
currently its an 8core 16gb amd3500.
the first machine back in 1997 was dual-processor (two physical cpu on one motherboard) pentium II/400mhz - that system rocked! Cheesy Cheesy

the computer and network/isp hubs+modems are on separate battery/UPS backups for 10 minutes of service which avoids most stormy weather flickers, etc.
i have two consumer/home type ISP connections, broadband cable and fibre (FTTN) DSL. the dsl does not allow incoming connections unless i set up a special exception.

of course there is down time for system upgrades and ISP outages and occasional IP number changes.
but those are not frequent.
i managed to go without rebooting for 19 months once a couple years ago -- then i really wanted to install a larger hard drive Smiley

Slackware Linux is the only sensible linux Smiley Cheesy

i run a small number of altcoin daemons for coins i'm either actively mining or coins that i wish to help build a more robust network.
if i'm no longer mining and the coin is robust, i still tend to keep the daemon running until i need the system resources to run a different coin.
for religous reasons i've been running a noodlyappendagecoin (NDL) daemon for about two years continuously now Smiley
if i find time some day, i'd like to revive that coin.

i also have other machines (couple windows7, iMac, tablets) on my home network. those handle my personal wallets. i do not keep coins on the server machine.

as for being a checkpoint server, since i'm on a consumer/home grade ISP service with 'rules' about usage, i really cannot commit to running an 'advertised' service of any kind. (ie: i cannot have my domain wired into any code, if its not wired then perhaps i can)
for about 7 years i used to run a part of my network empire on paid-for managed hosting ( i used to run an advertised Email discussion digest that published twice a day) but i could no longer justify that cost when my income became 1/3 of what it used to be and public interest in gently moderated Email discussions faded away to those newfangled social media sites.
paid-for managed hosting is still an option if someone else pays. lol... Cheesy

may you be touched by his noodly appendage this season.

No.

Very naive question but how do we then figure out the value / price of this new coin?    Being that it has the same name as CAPASITY that is very confusing.

Simple, the ticker will have to change.

Cryptopia - cost 5 BTC
Livecoin - no new coin accepted, even to voting.
Yobit - I had tried long time ago add GPL for only 0.1 BTC, wait 2 month then remove ticket and YobiCode.
Novaexchange - now closing and change owners, and if NPOINT not disappears (I have very much), I can pay after exchange restart.
