80 000 words, even if porting over is tough!  Respect! .  Took me 3 years to write 200 pages for my thesis!

Everybody has an opinion on the limit. I think 80 shares (not necessarily 80k words, I don't see why the word count matters if it's decent) is too high, but it is what it is.

I definitely agree with this.   My 200 pages are quite junk, I guess my supervisor and panel closed both eyes , but just to share Tagore's few words, they are gems:

Frankly speaking those free books are quite interesting.  But of course using it to earn Devcoins would not be too nice.  But perhaps the administrator can include some of these free books for instance The Republic http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1497/1497-h/1497-h.htm from the Gutenberg project.  Long but interesting reading and will surely add substantial content to Devtome.

FYI: DVB Devcoin Bounty for Bitcoin Spinner like Android app canceled, funds will be distributed among the shareholders.
Even if there are Apps that support the wanted functions for Feathercoin and Litecoin, noone had interest to create that Software for Devcoin till today. Thats why we cancel this bounty and distribute it among the shareholders.

Unthinkingbit spoke a Bounty right after DVB last year for the same purpose. So expenses for this development are covered trough generation shares ....

Yes they were. When I first joined Vircurex it was April, and it still showed the 10$ mark. It's just past the time for Vircurex, but I'm sure someone has a picture or something somewhere.

I think that could only plausibly be accurate if it was when maybe it was the first day DVC was on Vircurex, and that was just one of the first offers maybe?  

As you can see from the charts DVC was at the absolute most only close to about a $1, and only for a brief time, (.90 cents is the all-time high I could see), and was never anywhere around the $10 mark.  Actually I might be messing up my chart-reading again. I think maybe 9 cents was the all time high, not .90.

When I first got here they were talking about it. It got to $10 falsely (someone manipulated the market), but it DID get there. And now that there are so many publishers on board, and the bounties are getting completed, the value should be able to get there naturally this time.

But since we talked about it, it is at least somewhere on the old Devcoin thread. Probably around page 70.

It was $10 falsely, but it was $10, and it can get there again through true development.

Yeah, this sounds a lot like when FTC first got added to BTC-e and somehow the first one was traded at a 1:1 ratio for BTC. So for many hours, the entire chart was screwed up because it was using 1 BTC as the high value, when its real value was significantly smaller.

No one is using it as a standard for Devcoin value. All I ever said is that it is possible for it to get to $10 and that is true, since it DID do it before. And I will not stop sharing that information.

Well I'm not going to argue with you.

I think you are trying to swim upstream though. I think when you represent a community,  it is always better to go with the majority opinion.  I don't think many folks, out of the community at large, would side with you on this.

Also I don't think it does Devcoin any favors even it is shown to be technically accurate. New comers would then see that Devcoin is only worth about a millionth of what it was once worth a few months ago, which is not very inspiring.

I believe when representing a community, it is not about the "majority" (of 2 or 3?), it is about the culture and the history (truth).
