Hey guys, funny things happening with my new rig and I just cant get the hang of it.
So first of all here the specs:
Mobo: ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0 Intel H81 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail CPU: Intel Pentium G3260 2x 3.30GHz So.1150 BOX RAM: 4GB G.Skill Value DDR3-1600 DIMM CL11 Single GPU: 4x Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse 4GD5 Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail) PSU: 850 Watt be quiet! Power Zone Modular 80+ Bronze HDD: HGST 7ZK500 OS: Win10 Riser: all active risers with active power supply
Okay getting started, after booting up the OS I can start the tweaking tool for my cards and it won't show me more than three gpus, looking into the device manager one of them is shown with error code 12 - not enough ressources available. When I start to mine I'll just get the three GPUs shown working. Then I thought well maybe the PSU doesn't feature enough power so just lets take one GPU out and test the thing again. Now it shows three GPUs in the decive manager but one with error code 12. Same goes for the miner.
I've already switched tried out different ports, different raisers, different cards it just doesnt work.
So it doesnt matter how many GPUs I add to the rig, there is always one which gets the error code 12. And it is not always the same PCI slot which is shown sometimes it is PCI2 sometimes it is PCI3 - pretty random actually.
Any ideas?

Have You enabled PCI-E GEN1 (also try GEN2) from the motherboard's BIOS? Also, have you set your virtual RAM to 16-24GB?

Have tried both GEN1 and GEN2, both didnt work. Also I can't find an option in the BIOS to set virtual RAM to 16-24GB.

And you set in windows not BIOS. If you have graphic card on motherboard try turning it of as well as all other extras you can in BIOS.

I've turned off all other devices in bios which I could - besides the LAN- and don't have an option in bios to increase the vram. At least I don't find the option for the A stock h81 BTC pro 2.0.

Audio is definitiv disabled, onboard igfx not sure, will check it tomorrow at home (currently at the nightshift). Win10 is installed on uefi mode.

Just a wild guess but maybe you have another CPU with 1150 socket. I have seen multiple topics with this "error code 12" and a lot of them have been using this G3260 CPU, for example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2307023.0Also, are you running the latest BIOS on your mobo?

This is one of the most annoying errors. Also try to disable and enable the GPU with the error in the device manager. Switch the pcie lanes, try GEN1/GEN2. The H81 also has a mining specific option in the BIOS try to enable/disable it.

I had the same problem and was the "virtual memory" ( i call it page file or swap file.... ). Try this commad in to powershell if the value is lower than 16256 you didn't set it correctly.
Command: Get-WMIObject Win32_PageFileSetting
Output example: PS C:\Users\admin> Get-WMIObject Win32_PageFileSetting
MaximumSize Name Caption ----------- ---- ------- 16256 c:\pagefile.sys c:\ 'pagefile.sys'

lol,
Don't feel bad, I have the same board and I'm having issues also. I was usually using biostar which I just plugged in the risers, cards, booted and it worked great. This board was cheaper so I figured I'd give one a try. I played around with this board for about 2 hours and put it back in the box for a different day....

I found the Z270 to be fairly easy to set up compared to the H81 Pro. But the Z270 is also a different price category.

Hey, Am back after a long nightshift. So I've tried this out and it says 16256 is allocated. Still not working. Regarding the "enable 4g decoding" the bios doesn't feature that option, since it should be preconfigured for mining. I still don't understand why three cards work when I plug in four, but only two cards work when I plug in three... Strange thing.
