but the Reg Date is indeed an Indicator for trhustworthiness in Combination with the new Reputation Function.

And yes, registration date is a small indicator when used with posts count and trust. That makes 3 info instead of only 1. (except on market subforum where trust is displayed too)
Obviously it is not a good indicator, but 3 is better than 1

Theymos has mentioned a weighted posts / time online. For example, posting 100 posts in a day would give you the same rating as posting 15 times in a week. That would help.

I think this could be quite helpful, but I also like jackjack's idea to add the registration date to the user's name. Maybe a combination of the two would be good?
