Most people are afraid of risking their money in cryptocurrencies is that they don't actually have enough knowledge about trading. They are most likely the negative thinkers who always think of the worst than the best. As a noob, you'll definitely be afraid of online investments. Add to it the fact that there are myths that give bad impressions towards cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

Another reason is that these people are thinking that cryptocurrencies are fast money or a quick-money scheme. There's a lot of news about money schemes that turn out to be scams, and people are now hesitating to invest in cryptocurrencies with the fear that they might get scammed, too.

Most of the people scare of Crypto because they don't understand it clearly.  Virtual money has banned in many Countries. Therefore Governments usually say bad things on TV, Newspaper,... This leads people don't trust in cryptocurrency.

Nobody actually afraid of crypto-currencies, people just make their own decisions to get in or to stay away from it. On this decisions affect different factors, such us around opinion and the mass media. For example if I would have at lest one person who would say me to invest in Bitcoin at the moment when I just join (the price was 200$) I think I would do it, but I was surrounded by people who were skeptical to crypto-currencies and some of them stay the same even if Bitcoin Brooke the one record by another.

Good question. The most important thing I've heard is that cryptocurrency is a fake, a hoax. In addition, there is an opinion that they are needed only for illegal activities. I also heard that people are afraid of being hacked - I'm talking about mining.

People are becoming concious on what activity they will put their wealth. People are scared of crypto because it is becoming related to scams, the increasing number of scam is giving wrong impression to other altcoin which really has the potential to succeed. There is no denying that its harder to trust new offer coins now because of the news given by the mainstream.

Mainstream media has really big factor on why people become scared ir attracted to cryptos. Proper public presentation to people must be clear, I'm usually hearing new about crypto which shows cryptosystem is an activity instead of makibg it as an asset and a form of payment.

The most common reason I hear from people I know that are scared of cryptos is that they are afraid to use it because they believe crypto is fake and is a dirty money used by hackers and people in the deepweb. Every time I try to defend bitcoin and explain to them that it isn't what they think it is, they just refute my reasoning with unreasonable logic and they tend to stick to their belief that crypto is dirty money. Well I hope they would realize soon that it is good.

I'm afraid of joining scam ICOs and have my effort basically put in the trash. I mean, it's easy to post and all that; however, if in the end, you cannot use the coins or exchange them for that matter, then what's the sense. Also, one thing to be worried about is if the market crashes, and it affects the value of bitcoins and altcoins. It happened before, and it may happen now.

I never heard of anyone that is scared. Just some and actually many people that do not care. We are not the majority and it will be a good while before the terms are even out there for the most part. There is nothing that really appeals to most people, they see no reason that they cannot accomplish the same things in other ways and many of them can. I remember first getting into the stock markets years ago and seeing how easy that was and the returns were near the same.
