Still have few months ahead but I do not understand why everyone sell on the panic and withdraw all just right after the announcement.

To be fair, we've seen similar situations before, and it tended to get really hard to get your money
from these places. People don't want to lose their money. Me, I don't keep mine on exchanges, so
I didn't panic when I saw the news. I have like $3 on Bittrex, that's the most I will entrust to
strangers for longer than a day trade.

This is quite sad news, to me. I do not use Nova Exchange anymore, but they were among the very first exchanges I used in the very beginning since they were easy to open accounts with, did not need verification, and had support for a lot of alts that I could not find anywhere else.

But I am glad to read that this is not just a closure, but a means to pave the way for the new management. Hopefully, this will also include skilled developers and a great support team,,, you know, so we do not worry about wallet failures and 20 days to get a reply from support!

Oh it is really sad... I used to love it for the exotic markets like MOON or DOGE denominated coins. Was real good for the altcoin lover!

Very bad news, this is my very first exchange for crypto trading. It's a pity that she did not become popular ((

Yeah, me too, but sadly they have decided to change ownership although it is still good though that they already informed the public about their decisions earlier so that issues can be avoided later.

They are not Chinese guys, they are from Sweden. Its a bitcoin or crypto friendly country. I think it has nothing to do with the country. Its a business decision I think because it didn't gained enough transaction from our community because others have experienced a lot of connection issues with them, sometimes they will do a maintenance without proper notifications.

No issue for me personally, I don't fancy centralized exchanges.

Believe in the decentralized ones! Smiley they are the future of crypto trading!

Are there any active now?

I have been trying to log in Novaexchange all morning and haven't been able to.

It's too bad it's closing.

it's not a good news for people owning coins listed only on this exchange!

i hope that Nova will collaborate with other exchanges to implement this coins!

I think tomorrow it might work again, no need to be scared.

Yeah that seems like a real problem. This message is for these coins like a delisting from another major exchange. Gonna be a big chaos, since it are so many altcoins!

Please suggest other altcoin exchanges that US users might find or suggest their holdings move to.

The new management will probably accept what novaexchange already does.
I don't think they'll just be buying the name.
And it's good for the old as well as new management to clear up everything before starting fresh.

I don't use Nova exchange, but despite that they are closing, it should not stop people from withdrawing their funds from there.

Just guessing, you know completely no proof, could nova exchange get bought by one of the top chinese exchanges that just have to close down by 31st Oct due to the chinese crack down. Perhaps they need to focus on the market outside of china now.

I have used Nova to trade Onion, Vivo.  Some unique coins are only listed in Novaexchange and these coins will face hard dump as people have no other option to keep all these. I feel bad about this.

That exchange always seemed a bit shady to me considering how their campaign signatures and bounty threads went. Heavy censorship, low and late payouts, it was always a mess... Never even risked putting my money in there for this reason.
