Mods:

Being a moderator myself at another high-traffic forum, I'm shocked you are allowing the "Let's Count to 21 Million with Number's" thread to continue. It is obvious the only purpose of that thread is to falsely increase the post count of the two or three people participating. This site is already overrun with scammers and you guys are allowing it by not removing threads like this one.

This is the kind of BS that pushed me away in 2011. As someone considering a donation to the site, how can you let these scammers continue?

Kind regards,
a1

Sometimes I think it should be removed, other times not...

But on the other hand, why would anyone look at post count to determine trustworthiness?  I thought it was accepted that post count is an awful indicator.  Anyways, all you have to do is skim their post history real quick to see if they were spamming or not.

tysat-

Thank you for your reply.

Just curious, what benefit do threads like these serve? They simply clutter up the forum and allow members to falsely increase their rank by participating. Yes, trust should not be established based on post count or rank alone... however, people not versed in internet forums or naive new members might not know this. To me, it seems in the interest of the forum and its members to remove the useless mess.

I appreciate the work you all do, but, as you are aware, the scammers are increasing like flies around shit and these threads only add to the pile of dung.

Thanks again,
a

well just let it be there, at least people will know who's spammer or who's not, it will be easy to identify and ban them and it will also keep spammers away from spamming other good threads.

as for scam issue, High Post count = Trusted is old thing, on some forums (eg hackforums) you can't even trust peoples with high reputation.

So use your mind, use escrow, check members history/past and then do deal, you will be safe.

Ps: I think for new members, admin should do Force Topic Read for rules & warning thread.

Well if you're wondering, I'm not a bot. And I won't spam good topics.
I just found this topic and am playing on it with bitcoinmars, for the moment.

It's a good thing that you don't spam the good topic with your 99% one word useless post.

What's the fun in doing so? You are just posting numbers in increments of 1. Even a 12 year old would get bored very soon.
If you like numbers why not at least sit down and try solve one of these problems.

The images thread at least requires some searching and can be humorous. This, not so much. Thread deleted for providing no value.
