Right so the ICO craze this year was ridiculous. My personal favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxZ1TBzv_SMThe CEO of ParagonCoin Let's not forget her Gmail got hacked and she publicly tweeted at Google and her followers asking them to help her recover it. What could possibly go wrong?

This is going to be an interesting trend. I don't have a personal favorite ICO flop but I'm interested in what others have to say. The question I have is what makes an ICO the worst for you? Being disorganized, being hacked, not able to raise the projected amount of funds??

I'm also curious what people think will constitute the "worst". I suppose I would be looking at one that got away with "stealing" the most money. Or maybe one that raised a ton of capital and used it in the worst way possible. Guess this could go a few ways. I haven't personally got involved with many ICO's at all but I'd like to see some fail stories.

Surely number 1 criteria to be qualified for worst ICO is deliberately scamming people from the very beginning.

Hopefully someone will put together a fairly comprehensive list for 2017--the year of the ICO. It will be very interesting to see how many of those projects are still around in 1-5 years. Most of the talking heads seem to anticipate a roughly 90% failure rate. That seems about right.

In all honesty, 90% failure rate seems an underestimation still.

What could possibly go wrong? From very beginning this ICO is weak in campaign and investing funds that maybe they could not even hire an IT experts to protect their system and i think this ICO is like of those existing coins for today that was crap and destined to fail because lack of funds in which they are just hoping that many will invest to make their ICO gain big against their low budget.

This isn't the only the worst ico don't forget about tezos who somehow ended up rasing $230 million and reading there whitepaper gave most of us cancer. Even after being able to raise such a amount in recent events the team had a conflict regarding bonus tokens which led to fall in price immediately. Second one would be dcorp and suncontract both ico had successfully reached ico goals but.. Dcorp : Ico took place in june and successfully raised $3 million promised to get listed on a exchange but still no answer from the team nor anything new on the platform they are developing. Suncontract: Which raised $1.5 million and plans to provide solar electricity till now has no update regarding there progress. Most investors did get good profit but it purely a pump and not because of the updates given by the company.

I would have to say Tezos. It was a very successful ICO in terms of raising money, but look at the mess the project has become right now. The dev team might even end up going to jail for fraud! Shows how much money is being thrown around in these ICOs without serious thought...

Of course the worse ICOs are the scams which were planned to be scams from the very beginning, like LUST. But it looks that the worse ones have been Minereum and Artemine.

What about Kyber network. The hype and the price. The secretive whitelist and selling just for the spot. Those double investor are great for the network.

Kyber is still above ICO price so I wouldn't say it was too much of a fail. But yes over hyped and now slowly fading away.

Scams ICOs are the most worst ICO ever, Personally I experienced this with Sentry token a so called blockchain and a stratis killer, well all my time and effort are useless all i thought the project really promotes good technogy. Well be careful on joining ICOs so you will not waste your time and also your money.

I think my list include Humaniq, BCAP and CoinDash. All these projects raised significant amount of money but nothing for investors to dream about. All now significantly below their ICO price

Maybe this is a good idea to do, so ICO and cheating failures will be seen in the ledger here, I'm sure someday they will definitely make ICO projects again, but with different coins and concepts to cover their past cases . Maybe with this inevitably everyone will know for the upcoming.
