Bitcoin up Altcoin down | what is your trading strategy?

I'm only trading in ethereum or litecoin they are trusted coin for me, I don't know other altcoin some they are not trusted because some coins that I trade  did not go up even bitcoin is going down, well my strategy is once bitcoin price is up and if my altcoin like ethereum is going down then I'm gonna hold it, well I'm sure it will go up its like a roller coaster you know.

There is opposite correlation for sure. As if now if you see the HitBTC trade window then you will find how the top alt coins are down to -10-20% and how the bitcoin is completely green with +7% of rate as compared to start point. I mean there is simple fact of people selling alt coins for bitcoin and thats why pumped prices of bitcoin. Also, bitcoin is getting its potential hike form the real world also as new investors are popping in everyday which makes it more stronger currency. Once people see that how it is going they will always choose to buy more and sell the alt coins as an investment for it, thus making the effect even larger. May be thats why all this.

Personally I wouldn't touch my coins until the fork concluded and trading is live for the forked coin. The action needs to be swift though to not miss on dropped altcoins and to get the most value out of your investment. Also, I would sacrifice any potential gains from the forked coin to invest on a much higher return for alts. In that way I'm making a nice hefty profit without wasting too much time as well

My business strategy is to wait for altcoin prices to decrease,I will buy into. then wait for the bitcoin price to drop, atlcoin price increase i will sell out and buy bitcoin. that's my my business strategy

There is no definitive strategy in such situations, If you are holding altcoin and bitcoin price moving fast upwards you are losing money just by holding them, Now people are selling their altcoins to get as much bitcoin as possible, When they are dumping who do you think is buying? Whales are stashing bags over bags of altcoins and later when miners dump their bitcoins for big profits they will actually buy back altcoins with the profit made from selling thus auto pumping them and make the whales richer. This is also my strategy since I'm a whale

When altcoin drops down, I will just keep it or I will buy some more as long as it is an alt which has nice chart in their trading history. Buying it more with a big hope that it will be pumped once bitcoin price goes down. I'm now buying more dogecoin, even though this coin has no so good trading history because most of the time it will only stuck at xx satoshi but I think it will up again in the future.

I think it is best to separate these two things out. If altcoins prices fall I will continue to wait until the price increases again. btc prices rise, if i am owning btc i will sell or wait for higher prices. If I do not own btc I will invest money in btc and wait for it to increase further to sell. To me, that's the best I can do.

I split my investment on btc and alt. So, I can still get from the increasing btc, although on the other side my investment has a little weakening. But i am optimistic and can still be patient to hold it longer.

I have sold my btc as much as 75%, the profit I get is very remarkable.
To be honest, initially I was about to sell 25% for the cost of my sick mother's treatment, and I don`t know that Bitcoin has a significant increase, I'm finally interested in getting more profit, which 25% I left for investment.

I completely agree with you in this matter, especially if you take into account that the price for Bitcoin is almost again going to the maximum reading and other alternative coins are better exchanged for Bitcoin in any case. I have already made sure that only with Bitcoin can a good earning, and not with other coins.

That is just obvious right? When bitcoin pumps, altcoins dumps. And the most effective strategy here is to wait for the bitcoin price to dump where usually altcoin prices pumps and then use that altcoins to buy bitcoin.

If an altcoin is down in price (and if it is a good altcoin) then that is the time to buy it. Always buy low and sell high, so theoretically if Bitcoin is at a new high and a good altcoin is low, you should sell Bitcoins and buy the altcoin.

However, you don’t have to trade Bitcoins for altcoins. You can trade Bitcoin for fiat or altcoins for fiat. There are many combinations for trading. I suggest that you stick with only a handful of trading pairs to make it less confusing.

Also, even when altcoins are down relative to Bitcoin, they may not be down relative to fiat, so you have several things to look at when trading.

If you have altcoins in your position it’s either you hold it or sold it is in you discretion. If you hold and refused it wait until the price will increase and that is totally gor long term. If you sold them buy some bitcoin to have more free coins in this coming November 16th Segwit2x fork. This days as bitcoin movements increases, the better way to have profit is holding it.

Who said that Altcoins are going down in price? Have you been monitoring Ethereum as of recently? Maybe you never did, cause if you did, you will notice that the price was never depreciating in any way, rather it keeps on appreciating, though it’s little by little, but I’m sure that’s how Bitcoin has been all this while to.
