i've encouraged couple of colleagues, but the very first sentence was: "this is what i'm doing, do you want to invest? Great, but i'm not responsible for your money, i can show you the market, how BTC is keep growing and that's it, your money, your decision".
I don't want to feel bad for somebody who will follow my steps and all of a sudden they lose money.

Bitcoin has been awesome and will always be awesome. We, who have been involved in Bitcoin since the very early days understand this very well. However, for the laymen, for the people who don't really understand the technical aspects of Bitcoin or those who only watch the mainstream media are skeptic about Bitcoin. Since, all they hear in the News is how Bitcoin can be used for illegal activities and how it offers complete anonymity (common misconception) to people to do what they need on Internet.

Have you ever convinced or encouraged anyone to invest in Bitcoin and did you have success? Of course, since we know that we are giving a good advice, so we would usually advice our own family members or friends about this.

In the past few months, I encouraged some of my friends to invest in Bitcoin. They had a lot of questions about it from technical perspective and I helped them understand. They invested in Bitcoin and are very happy with the returns. And now this information propagates and more people will get involved in Bitcoin.

In my humble opinion, as a Bitcoin enthusiast, we can help understand people the positive aspects of Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin is still in the very initial stages and those of us who really understand what Bitcoin offers, know that Bitcoin Price is only 1/10th of what it's worth right now.

What are the most common responses you get from laymen about investing in Bitcoin?

Some popular ones I receive are:

1. "Oh, it's already too expensive, I cannot afford to buy it."
2. "The governments don't regulate it, why should I invest in it?"
3. "It's an illegal currency and only cyber criminals use it."
4. "What backs up Bitcoin? For example US Dollar is backed by Trust (all time favorite response Cheesy), but what backs up Bitcoin?"
5. "The market is way too volatile to invest."
6. "You can't really use Bitcoin as a currency."
Here the same thing happened with me also , Many times I tried to explain and also tried to teach many friends and also.to.unknown people who was looking to know about the bitcoin but after that they refused me to learn and invest .
The reason for them to refuse was same as you told in the bottom of your post .
Here the most unique answer that I got was the problem to exchange , they are saying that if we need to spend 1$ then surely we will needed to spend $1+ as an transaction fee , than how we can say that it is a better way of payment system.
I think it will be more better for us to not to explain them because if we will not explain them then they will understand well and also thier excitement of understanding the bitcoin and another cryptocurrency will be more than what is the today with free advice and tips by us they have .

To answer your first question: no, I do not directly convince or encourage someone to invest in bitcoin. But I say that there is a potential for their money to earn profit, tell them my experience. And I also tell them that there are risks. The next time we see each other, there are circumstances where those persons will just update me that they have tried investing in bitcoin already.

I usually receive the first one. People say that it's too late already as bitcoin is expensive now compared to before. These are the people who have heard about bitcoin already. Next to that, I usually receive questions like what is bitcoin and where do bitcoin come from? And I have to explain bitcoin from the basics of it.

Every time BTC hits a new high, I hear from "friends" who I told about it years ago. They wonder why I didn't insist they buy Bitcoin.
Now I say I sold out long ago, or that it was all stolen.

Perhaps if Bitcoin had come a decade earlier, or I'd been involved then, I would have given advice to people, close friends anyway. But I'm a bit older, a little wiser (I hope) and I've come to learn that you should never encourage anyone to invest in anything. I still tell people about Bitcoin, but only if it comes up in conversation and there's interest.

I don't push it, I tell them what I know about it and why it's important for them to be aware of it. I did this even in 2013/14, long before I owned any of my own Bitcoin. The personal wariness came from my previous bad experience with digital currencies. I thought then that Bitcoin was special, but I'd been burnt before by new tech. Even today, with all that I have and earn, I would never go all in, and never advise anyone to.

This is really a simple thing to happened . In the starting when I started bitcoin work then I made a big thinking that I will make bitcoin popular in my city and also I will make the bitcoin as a mode of payment in my city , Soni tried to make bitcoin to use at nieghbourhood shops to explain them the advantages and convince them to accept Bitcoin as a payment but he considered the negative point of the bitcoin that was the fee of 1$ . And also i tried to make meeting in my city but no one ( except my friends came ) , that was totally shocking for me  , Because no was interested , so I left the plan to educate the people about bitcoin , but now few people are forcing me to teach them about the bitcoin.

I won't do it because i'm afraid if they lose their investment in bitcoin. I will be the one to blame and i don't like it. If they want to invest together with me i think they must do it in their own will not by forcing them to invest. Not all people want to invest and mostly people want too your investment grow before they invest which is bad i think. Because the moment they put their money on this and the price slide down. I think they will panic and i will be in hot seat. If they want to so it, first move is to educate them about this to avoid misunderstanding.

It's hard to convince people who shows no interest at all. You will just end up feeling disappointed at how ignorant they are. If I were you, talk to people who have interests on investing and who listens with an open mind. Besides, investing is not something that one instantly jumps into because that definitely requires mental and financial preparation. I, myself, isn't ready for investments yet so I prefer signature campaigns at the moment.

I cannot lead or say someone to invest something even if it is a low amount of money. However, I have been talking about bitcoin to my close friends, they then decide what they want to do with their money.

I did and honestly i didnt know she invested in bitcoin. I was just actually  talking to her what i was into while doing my regualr job. I told her im doing bitcoin and this is just for part time. Then she ask me how does it work then i told her i just post. And there many ways how to earn, like buying or trading. You just have to invest some money in those ways. I give her example, showing a good friend of mine buying bitcoin and earning big. Then i didnt know she did it. She just told me one day that she is investing in bitcoin. She had her own research about bitcoin and she was hooked up.

i agree on you, don't need to convince other people to invest because in a simple or meaningful post you can earn profitable income. i have join in this forum without investing any single money that i have. just need your time and willingness to use this forum.

No. I have never suggested anyone else invest in bitcoin. 2 family members have seen my success and also bought Bitcoin at £2000. They all knew I thought it would go up above $10,000 within 10 years so no idea why they didn't choose to invest at £200. I have always said it is very risky and you may loose everything, massive gains are possible but unless you are comfortable loosing 90% of your value overnight then don't even think about it. I still stick by my advice.

I feel you,, it’s really hard to convinced someone when it comes to money.. The reason is even they trust us but they’re unfamiliar and have no knowledge about bitcoin that’s why they’re totally doubtful about it.. I have an experienced with it myself,, but regret will caught them into reality and it will be a bang on they’re ego and pride that they’re wrong not trusting you fully..

I never encourage someone to invest in bitcoin because that's a decision that has to be made by the person himself based on the research that he/she's done. I only talk to them about bitcoin, answer their questions (if they have any), but i never asked them to invest in it. If they are interested and want to invest then it's their decision. It's better like that because people tend to blame whenever the price down if you are the one that encouraged them to invest in the first place.

Not really. I didn't convinced anyone to invest in btc because it's hard to persuade someone especially if money is involved and they don't know what you are telling them. I have friends whom I told my endeavors with btc. I explained to them how it works, the advantages and disadvantages as well. At first they got curious but they are busy with their daily lives so I didn't bother or pester them to try and invest. That was exactly five months ago. Now that btc is booming more and more, guess what? Just a week ago they are bombarding me with questions on how to start investing in btc. Not a single day went by that nobody tried to talk to me even those that aren't one of my close friends. So, you see there's no need to convince them because btc speaks for itself which makes people to come to us and seek our advice.

I tried to encourage some of my classmate/friends when i was in junior high school (2015-2016)  sad to say they laugh on me because they said that it was scam, i tried to explain it to them everything i know about bitcoin but what they asked to me is "did you already earned the real money using a bitcoin" i cant answer that because i was new in bitcoin industry that time. I stop convincing them to start studying bitcoin, what i do are read all the things that related to bitcoin and after how many months i found some good site that i could earned a good amount of bitcoin, and started earning a real money and now they cant ask me how to start in bitcoin ( im just waiting them to ask it personally to me so i could teach it to them).

But i also succeed to encouraged some of my new friends now to study and invest in bitcoin now, i guess because they see that i really earned a real money here and now they reading all the things that they want to know about bitcoin and soon they will be here in the forum to understand more what bitcoin is. I didn't and I will never convince or encourage someone to invest in bitcoin especially the ones who are totally not interested. As I always don't convince people but let them convince themselves. There are many people advertising now in social medias and many people can see it. If they feel that they are interested then that's the time that you teach them but don't spoonfeed them.

Yes I did convinved my family, relatives and friends six months ago and unfortunately turns out to be like they don't care about it. Though a risky investment  but look at Bitcoins price just recently it goes like twenty times the price now compared to the price way back the first quarter of year 2017. Some people said Bitcoin is just a currency not an investment and we all know that it was stated on the whitepaper but for me Bitcoin is everything. As an unemployed and less fortunate individual, I can see myself a successful one someday with Bitcoins. I also believe that Bitcoin would change not only my fortune but all of us who dreamed big and I know Bitcoin will never let us down.

BIG WINNER!
[15.00000000 BTC]
