I don't encourage them to invest. I only make them aware of the existence of bitcoin so in that way if things get ugly, he/she wouldn't blame me for egging them to invest in it as they have made that in their own volition; also this  preserves our friendship.

The people I know most do not have a clue that bitcoin exists. However, some other people are aware of its existence, but they have never thought of investing in it. That is why I always strive to convince them that investing in bitcoin is profitable.

Yet, all I get is pessimistic answers like "Meh, I probably will do it when I have time." "Maybe some other time." It is quite hard to convince someone without showing him a valid proof.

I encouraged my a couple of my friends recently to check out the crypto world and they fell in love with it immediately. Initially, they were overwhelmed by the technical aspects, but they are learning slowly and are asking me so many questions on a regular basis. I feel great for helping them learn about the basics of the crypto industry.
I also did the same thing. Since some of my friends has an idea about cryptocurrencies, I told them to read articles about the world of Bitcoin. Gladly, they got encouraged. And now, yes, we are all working and investing in Bitcoin. Worth it yes.

I have tried a couple of times but unfortunately I did not succeed.  They always thought that bitcoin is a scam, a fraud. They are not open to new opportunities that might at least help them financially. They always say that how can it be a currency, it cant even be use as a payment for small quantities. It has even high fees just to transfer small amount compared to banks that almost transfer instantly with minimal cost or almost none if same bank. Sometimes they tell me that bitcoin has no real value bucause it can be classified as an asset or it is not backed up by anything. But for me, I strongly believe in bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. I will not stop investing in it despite more people discourage me to do such.

Well, I tried but was unsuccessful. That was late 2016, BTC was around $700 then and now, late 2017 it's at $6600 (record price 01-Nov-2017).
He has since mid 2017, when BTC hit $3000 kept bugging me blaming me for not trying enough.
He's still hesitant, waiting for a good price to buy.

By the way, he's a programmer.

I can relate.  I was one of those who did not grab the opportunity when bitcoin was around $600. But I am here now, earning profit!

I don't remember that I convince someone to invest in bitcoin. Actually, my friends encouraged me to work on it. They said if I will have much money, they think it's better to invest in bitcoin and it will help me to be a successful person in the world same as the other bitcoiners here in bitcoin that have a better life.

Since I started bitcoin I never joined a campaign with a investment requires because I totally don't know more about bitcoin so I usually don't ask someone to invest in the campaign that requires an investment and if he/she wants to invest I will not stop him/her.

Yeap, I told  many friends on Facebook, my family and other close friends when Bitcoin was much cheaper and now that Bitcoin is over 7k USD they suddenly all want to buy it so now the FOMO is getting real.  Grin Grin I still don't have a full Bitcoin but have a little bit in different altcoins. I currently hold around 0.3 of a Bitcoin which is peanuts lol.

I encourage my coworkers to invest in Bitcoin but then they replied to me that they will consider it and will tell me if they are ready to invest in Bitcoin. What i think in their reply to me is that they are afraid to venture in Bitcoin world, i know they are not used to it yet that is why i am telling them my positive experience in investing in Bitcoin.

My friend who thinks he knows it all in the business industry just because he graduates from a masteral degree thinks it will be eventually destroyed or be permanently banned in the market industry apparently he doesn't to see the full potential of the cryptocurrency and only think of his proud opinion if they won't then don't I won't force those people. Because I know there a lot of my friends I encourage and started getting happy and satisfied with their opinion he says he know but apparently he just to damn proud because of his pride.

Yeah.. Because my personal view is Bitcoin has very good future and it is an awesome field to invest on.
It went 1000% up in last 12 months. Even if you bought BTC a year ago, you would have x10 times investment by now..

Having the fact that investing on bitcoin or should I say any altcoins had so much risk, I never encourage any one to do invest like what I am doing because I dont want anyone put a blame on me once they incur loss in bitcoin investment due to price fluctuation which is result from price volatility.

I'm avoiding to convince someone to invest, this could be tricky. This person also might lose some funds, not only make profit and then claim this was my responsibility. I usualy try to explain the benefits and good sides but also to say what are the possible risks and then let this person to decide on its own. But I'm encouraging people to try bitcoin at first with small amounts and many of them continue to use it long term.

That's the smartest thing to do, I wouldn't even give any tips regarding security to people who are not very good with technology.
The chance that they end up blaming you whenever they make a mistake themselves is just too big.

I would give advice to people who at least have some understanding of the technology behind it, but I usually mention that they don't have to take my word for it and look everything up.

Giving financial advice to friends is pretty risky in general imo.
