No, it's still possible with altcoins, there's still enough volatility to make some good trades.
Certain altcoins are also doing quite well and if Bitcoin drops again, we'll see altcoins jump up again.

It's going to be a really tough challenge, but you can do it with proper bankroll management and picking the right investments.

Great some questions i need to know.
1.What exchange are you using.
2.What currency pair is in your target

1) I'm using Bittrex
2) No particular currency pair, it depends on what is what is happening in the overall market. Right now, I'm focusing on alts that have been holding up well during the BTC rise and oversold alts that have historically been strong for bounces. I also tend to trade breakouts as well.

Just made the biggest gain so far in the challenge, a 57% trade on Qwark which now puts us at 0.069 BTC.

0.03 to 3 btc is hard but definitely achievable. I suggest you trade coins with low volume such as below 5btc cause those kind of coins spike like crazy.

It won't be much difficult to reach there. however it can take some time. Your knowledge hold the power to convert then into 3 btc. Keep doing research and i will be following this thread to see how far you can go.

I will be following this thread. He's off to a good start with 100%  profit in a week. He's been trading good esp. with altcoins going down. He's good at what he is doing. I'm just wondering how long will it take for him to get his 3btc goal. Let's just wait and see.

I hope you have a good strategy to actualize your aim, I believe it is going to take some time to hit your target going by the amount of bitcoin invested for a start, I implore you to kindly  reveal your trading strategy so as to carry interested trader along.

I hope he really does and I hope he has learnt so much already and have been able to know how to manage himself in making some certain decisions based on his strategies as well and yes, revealing his trading strategy and not just giving us the update on the increase of his coin would be good.

Even before making some trades, he should let us know the start and finish of those trades, so some people can just move along, and probably learn from him. He can be a such source of motivation for wannabe traders. However, I must confess that is not an easy task but it is possible and that is why it is a challenge anyway.

If I somehow can do this, it'll prove that anyone can make money in trading as long as you are dedicated and put in the time and work.

I have been seeing people asking me what coin I hold. I don't usually hold coins longer than a day, especially not in this market environment. I'm trading bounces/breakouts and taking profit. This can be risky, but if I am strict with my principles, I think it will be okay. With that said, the only coin I will be comfortable holding for the next two weeks will be BCC/BCH.

You are really going in better way because here you are updated status of your trade success . Herre in my opinion the best way to make money is the only trading that you are doing .
Here I myself started trading with 0.01btc about 1 year ago , now I have about 0.5btc that is not a big deal for me because I can understand well that how much the amount of the bitcoin I earned ( lost also much but at the end with big profit and net gain earn of sufficient amount of bitcoin ) .
Here I would like to say to.you best of luck with your trading and don't go for the big risk also because risk is equal to money but with this risk can result into loss .

The fact he succeed to double his investment today. Not all altcoin are dead right now, some of them also bounce back to their previously price. By know the right time to buy and sell, OP could make this happens

In just a week you've already doubled your investment in trading well its a good sign though. Well now it is really profitable the bcc and bch because of the price of bitcoin is getting higher though if the bitcoin.is getting higher the price of altcoins are getting cheaper and its time to buy and do shopping on that then hold it sometime then boom it is easy money but you should be patient enough so that you can gain profit

Thank you and yes, I publish most of my trades on Twitter. I don't want to spam this thread because I do make many trades within a day, also I'm not striving to be a signal service either. The thread is to serve more as inspiration and motivation, while providing insights on some of my trades. I will post a week 1 recap on my trades in a few days.

Wow this is good to the newbie to encourage to continue trading or start trading. 0.03 bitcoin become 3 bitcoin is possible but you need more months or even 1 year to reach that. Bevause for sure because th price of bitcoin increasing it's very hard to earn big in the little days. But it depends to the coin you bought or how much the coin increase if its big its good for you .

0.03 btc to 3 btc? that is possible but man how long you gonna do it? the 2 chances are you will lose everything and the second is that you will never get too far away from your initial btc.

are you gonna make it to happen for 5 or upto 10 years?

I guess that is why it is a challenge. I am simply sure OP knows what he is getting into and he must have been prepared. How long this is going to end up being is left to those who would want to follow the thread and see how far he goes and how far he himself would be willing to go to get to that stage if he does not get tired or weary along the line.

I am eagerly watching out to see what ends up happening though.
