Hey all, I'm going to start this challenge of turning 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC. I have no idea if I can accomplish this, but I'll be sharing my progress daily with you. If I somehow can do this, it'll prove that anyone can make money in trading as long as you are dedicated and put in the time and work.

I thought about starting a similar thread but got sort of spooked of the crumbling altcoin market. You've already got a form of strategy planned? Difference between 0.03 and 3 BTC is quite huge so it'll probably take a few years unless you manage to catch some coins shooting into the stratosphere. Anyways, good luck in your upcoming trading adventures!

You need to invest more funds in the trading to start the trading. To open the trade advertisement, every site will be charge the holded fund in the exchange wallet.
If you have around 0.25 btc means you can start your trading experience in localbitcoins.com
Even you can trade btc and alts in the polenix and bitrex sites.

from 0.03BTC to 3BTC it's not big enough but it's huge, I do not mean anything, but I just want to share my suggestion to you. maybe you can start to trade with 0.03 capital until you can get 1BTC. I will continue to see the updates you are doing, and I am very curious it will take how long from 0.03 to get 1BTC and I want to see what coins you will sell/buy.

Well, good luck to you! But do you not think that it will take you much time to accomplish your goal? In fact, it is not impossible, but it is quite hard to go from 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC. What do you think? Plus, did you set up some strategies? As you can see, a plan like this cannot be achieved without a strategy.

But I think if you have a strong determination, you will achieve what you aspire. It is just about making efforts and work hard in a smart way. That is all.

Nice ambition you have. It's possible of course but it might not be that easy at it seems no matter the current fast price rise. There will be downs also and you have to count on that too. And you need some knowledge too andwsom some plan and strategy, not just luck and it's also important what kind of trading and investment you will choose.
People think making money with Bitcoin is easy but once they try it it might turn out different.

If i am looking to invest into alt coins i would say this is the best market to invest in good alt coins because you could get them at a cheap price in a bear market and with time the alt coin market will stable itself and start rising and that is the time when you can reap your profits,go for the long term and i am sure you could least get that to one bitcoin in the long term.

Free advice man, if you do not know how are you going to turn 0.03BTC into 3BTC then it is better to stop and think of a plan because I can assure you that it is way more likely that you turn that 0.03BTC into nothing, I’m not trying to be harsh or anything but that is the truth, money does not multiply just because, first find a way to make that money and then when you do execute that plan.

It takes few months or few years before they reach that amount but it depends on the coin you buy. But we dont know what will happen to your 0.03 bitcoin because they have possibility to decrease that price once you choose wrong coin.

I think trading is your best bet, but as long as you have the guts to lose and gamble that .03 BTC of yours to turn it to .3 BTC, then I'm cool with that.

I want to see how your progress because I already quit trading but I think it doable, it doesn't matter if you get there in 1 day or 100 days, at least you give your best shot and you learn as you goes along. Maybe you can even get it to .3 BTC or more. Goodluck on your journey mate.  ;D

I'll follow your progress,  .03btc to 3btc is possible. But it will take you time. I guess it will take you a year.  Do you have a time frame for this?  The greatest enemy you will encounter is the upcoming bear season of 2018. Good luck, may the force be with you.

So your challenge is multiples 100 times and i think only investing in new ICO or Gambling can help you. Trading will make this come true but it will costs for a long time.

it will be very challenging for you to turn the table on your favor, if you willing to risk that much (i don't know how many bitcoin you have) it will be good for your development and also for us the reader. Why you say you don't know how much bitcoin he has to started this challange? He already said it he'd starting from 0.03 btc to 3 btc (900% or 100x increase). Do you get it now?

anxiously awaiting updates on this. My experience initially was very good. bought in early august.

then I made a bittrex account, tried buying a mining rig online, and lost over 2 grand.

not vexxed about it because my portfolio has grown in the interim and will be worth more in 6 months, bu losing sucks. :-\ :'(

0.03 btc to 3 btc? that is possible but man how long you gonna do it? the 2 chances are you will lose everything and the second is that you will never get too far away from your initial btc.

Seems a real hard challenge to accomplish. To double money isn't easy, now imagine to make x100 profit... It will take a lot of time and dedication, 3 millions of satoshis aren't a big bankroll to start what will make it even more difficult. I think it's an acceptable challenge, but dangerous as the goal is high and greed can take place in OP's mind. Better to begin slowly, make some profit, withdraw, then make some profit again, withdraw...

It'll be interesting to see your daily progress.

I hope you have a good strategy to actualize your aim, I believe it is going to take some time to hit your target going by the amount of bitcoin invested for a start, I implore you to kindly  reveal your trading strategy so as to carry interested trader along.

I love this challenge, please keep us posted what's going on ... really interested in what are your trades and what's outcome. Although peiple here say that 0.03 BTC is not a lot, I think that's exactly the challenge...to make something out of nothing!

It's very big challenge. Your sounds like you have ever did that easily, didn't you? When did you made x100 from your investment in trading and how long?

turning 0.03 Bitcoin into 3 Bitcoin is a possible challenge in my opinion because i ever encountered somehing like that before,
but you need a lot of time to do that and also some luck,you need more than 100x to gain that point.
which mean the best thing that you need to do is buying and selling an altcoin other than buying Bitcoin.
it will not work if you're buying and selling a top cryptocurrency because it will take a years to accomplish all of it.
a newly reborn coin or project are the best object to accomplish it,but it's very risky because we may lose it all if we're choosing the wrong one.
also do not ask about his progress everyday because he may be update it every month  or week because day trade will not bring you any of those profit.

Well it is not impossible to turn 0.03btc to 3btc, around how many weeks or months are you planning to target to get the3btc by the way? Hopefully you’ll also update us here so wecan see your progress.

Not sure what strategies you are going to apply to your trade logics but of course it will be test of your trading abilities as it is not so easy to turn 0.03 into 3 Btc.
Seems this is only possible in gambling. You should also be prepare for loss of your whole investments because there is no guarantee on getting success in every bet.
Gambling mostly depends on luck, if you are not lucky enough, stop this procedure.

I think the bold part is kind of contradictory because how do you intend to achieve that if you don't know how to go about it. But all the same you already have a clue and I will be looking at how its going to go about and how you want to post your progress report. I don't know if that will be allowed on the forum because that would be like sharing trading tips which would be no different than the pump and dumps groups that we have on slack and telegram platforms couple with the attacks you will have to face for those who will be for or against your decision making.

Awesome project! It'll be fun to watch, but i'm unclear about the "rules" you start with 0,3 and aim towards 3 btc. But are you allowed to use more btw? What i mean is, is the 3 btc goal pure profit or is it total btc?  :)

x100 increase in fiat is not too difficult. But 0.03 btc to 3 BTc is not easy.

Nice, I look forward to this, do you have any kind of strategy to achieve this, for example day trading or will you be comprising many methods such as investing in ICOs also? I really think this is possible but it may take you quite some time. If you could complete this inside a year that would be quite an achievement.

I read all your comments and never would I expected it would draw this much interest. I thank you guys for all your support and enthusiasm! So, one question I'm been seeing is what my strategy will be. The strategy is to have no set strategy and to be flexible because of changing market conditions/trends. So, right now what I will be looking for is alts with strong fundamentals that have been oversold (good for a quick rebound play) and alts that are holding well despite the BTC rise.

The challenge has started and our first trade was made yesterday. My reason for this play is that it fits our current criteria of it holding well despite the BTC rise (actually rose too). Also, I think there may be a top incoming with BTCUSD + the Segwit2x drama might have some effects too. That might result in people moving into BCC/BCH temporarily. I know it is a hated coin too, but our goal is to trade and make profit.




Note - I will avoid posting trades live that involves low marketcap coins for obvious reasons.

Yes, I will try to post most of my trades/trade recaps, as well as my thoughts/analysis. I will post mid caps, but low caps will be iffy because they are prone to rapid price movements. Fun thread I just followed you on twitter. I hope you will post what went good/bad and what you learned from it. This way we can get more insight in trading and get closer to our initial goal.

I think that's really a special mission. Maybe you need to do a lot of trading, can not invest only once that you can achieve such results. And I find it is  very difficult, if you do not have a reasonable strategy you may lose everything just after a sleep.

As i seen your portofolio stats in week 1 is 0.035 btc or it has been increased 0.005 btc from your initial investment. Does it mean you have sold the BCH which you bought yesterday or you are still holding it until now?

The portfolio has increased since our first trade yesterday and yes I am still holding on to BCH. In my opinion, it's the only coin worth holding now during BTC/USD move. I posted two other trades on Twitter, a XRP one and a XLM one. The XLM one was for a slight loss (-5%), but the XRP one was profitable (+36%). From those gains, I increased my BCH position.


Note - I actually just woke up from my alarm/alert hitting from BCH haha. Managed to get my order hit at the top (0.092) and rebought at 0.0875. We are actually now sitting at 0.038! I'm going to get back to sleep now, thanks for following.

Yes I am with this, specially if you are just making daily trades for small quick profit you can rarely multiply your bankroll by 100 times. Also day trading is quite risky and you can even loss half of your balance.

I will not say impossible, but I don't think you can reach this target with just day trading.

I have seen a guy who have invested $1k before ripple boom last year and now sitting over $30k just in a time of 1 year. That is quite rare...

0.03 to 3 BTC mean you have 100x increase your money by investing to altcoin. i see that we can be done this if we choose right altcoin. I hope you will success

x100 you think it is a little challenge? For me, it is something that is too big to be achieved. If you are a successful trader then I think you can get it but no trader ever succeed forever.

No, it's still possible with altcoins, there's still enough volatility to make some good trades.
Certain altcoins are also doing quite well and if Bitcoin drops again, we'll see altcoins jump up again.

It's going to be a really tough challenge, but you can do it with proper bankroll management and picking the right investments.

1) I'm using Bittrex
2) No particular currency pair, it depends on what is what is happening in the overall market. Right now, I'm focusing on alts that have been holding up well during the BTC rise and oversold alts that have historically been strong for bounces. I also tend to trade breakouts as well.

Just made the biggest gain so far in the challenge, a 57% trade on Qwark which now puts us at 0.069 BTC.

0.03 to 3 btc is hard but definitely achievable. I suggest you trade coins with low volume such as below 5btc cause those kind of coins spike like crazy.

I will be following this thread. He's off to a good start with 100%  profit in a week. He's been trading good esp. with altcoins going down. He's good at what he is doing. I'm just wondering how long will it take for him to get his 3btc goal. Let's just wait and see.

I hope he really does and I hope he has learnt so much already and have been able to know how to manage himself in making some certain decisions based on his strategies as well and yes, revealing his trading strategy and not just giving us the update on the increase of his coin would be good.

Even before making some trades, he should let us know the start and finish of those trades, so some people can just move along, and probably learn from him. He can be a such source of motivation for wannabe traders. However, I must confess that is not an easy task but it is possible and that is why it is a challenge anyway.

You are really going in better way because here you are updated status of your trade success . Herre in my opinion the best way to make money is the only trading that you are doing .
Here I myself started trading with 0.01btc about 1 year ago , now I have about 0.5btc that is not a big deal for me because I can understand well that how much the amount of the bitcoin I earned ( lost also much but at the end with big profit and net gain earn of sufficient amount of bitcoin ) .

The fact he succeed to double his investment today. Not all altcoin are dead right now, some of them also bounce back to their previously price. By know the right time to buy and sell, OP could make this happens

In just a week you've already doubled your investment in trading well its a good sign though. Well now it is really profitable the bcc and bch because of the price of bitcoin is getting higher though if the bitcoin.is getting higher the price of altcoins are getting cheaper and its time to buy and do shopping on that then hold it sometime then boom it is easy money but you should be patient enough so that you can gain profit

Wow this is good to the newbie to encourage to continue trading or start trading. 0.03 bitcoin become 3 bitcoin is possible but you need more months or even 1 year to reach that. Bevause for sure because th price of bitcoin increasing it's very hard to earn big in the little days. But it depends to the coin you bought or how much the coin increase if its big its good for you .

I guess that is why it is a challenge. I am simply sure OP knows what he is getting into and he must have been prepared. Why don't you following his twitter? As he said earlier, he always mentioned on there if he want to trade a coin and also post the result too.

First you have to go to coinmarketcap.com look at the coins which are listed and choose the best possible exchange that suits you,study some of the major coins and makes sure that you do not fall for scam coins,study the market and then keep investing in it,look at the volume and the buy sell coming in and make a decision.

This could take some time , the of the game is get  into a promising coin, try buy at low and sell at high and don't chase a missed trend

Dam thats very challenging challenge ! Hope you won’t fade up early leaving out of the competition. This is good start and could be motivation to new people if you succeed in showing that how you made 3 BTC just form the BTC = 0.03. This is insane right but it could be possible after very very long time. We are talking about 100 times value of current wallet holding. Lets see how the stuff goes here. Interested challenge. But do you have some rule for your self? Like always cut loss when ... ? Or just take ... profit only?

First, Goodluck and good job so far. You've starting with 0.03 then moving them to 0.069 within 1 weeks. Seems you have a good analysis to be a trader master. after this challange, are you have an idea to made open an investment?

ok i will answer your question but promise me that you will read in some threads here for your more knowledge.Sign up in mercatox that is a trading site then invest in xrb that's coins is good for invest because the price is become low and high in a weeks so you will experience a volatile price then after you learn try to invest in some coins that have big value its similar but have big value

Well its good to have a practice coin while you're still starting. I think xrb would be a good or choose a coin that has less than 1k sat value. Also read about where you're going to trade. I haven't yet tried mercatox but ypu can alsp try the more common ones like bittrex and polo

It is indeed contradictory to the goal he set out to accomplish and to some extent, suggests he doesn't have faith in what he's doing!
After going through the development in twitter, I think trading should be restricted to a few coins as possible instead of randomly picking up coins to trade. Altcoins can be notorious and just one wrong choice can wreak havoc to all the progress made.

somehow i am agree with the OP that making a limit profit until 3 btc because this will push ourselves to do our best time to trade and make profit. i am sure that he can do that and even he can make more than 3 btc but i don't know when he can fill his challenge. if he can maintain his emotion to not being greedy in his traded, then he can make profit in every day. in week 1, i see that his portfolio is increase from 0.03 btc to 0.069 btc. good luck bro and i wish you fill your limit profit and reach more than 3 btc.

If it is not a big challenge, you might as well just show us how you can do it easier. That is such a huge challenge mate, if you have ever been into trading.

Consider losing some little cash and consider some crazy moments like the one we are having presently.
Growing 0.03BTC to 3BTC is not an easy task and it takes a whole lot of balls for someone to want to challenge himself to do that. Would be quite some inspiration though if he ends up doing.

How much time for this result?

I remember the time when  I have a 0.03 bitcoin in my wallet and i want to buy a laptop because i need it for my studies for doing homeworks and projects so i am very determined to do trading so i put it into a trading site and i made that 0.03 into 0.5 in just 2 weeks so i believe that it is very possible to make 3 bitcoin from 0.03 bitcoin capital only.

I have been following this guy since he started on twitter and he seems to know what he is doing. So far so good as far as I know, her has been able to increase the volume from 0.03 to 0.038 in just few days. So, we cannot say nothing is impossible. How long is what we cannot really know. Also, I feel gambling is not even close to it and you can lose all within a split of a second in gambling which makes it even worst.

As i have seen on his words you can really feel the dedication and on how serious he is regarding on the goal he do set. 0.03 btc to 3 BTC is really a hard thing but it is really reachable through trading but would really depend on how skillful you are on this field.We can really see a gambling thing on here which we do still risk money on and make trades on it to make more money.

I doubt you have been following his twitter. He did turned his 0.03 to 0.039 only in a day while you said in few days. 

Remeber that Anything is Possible if you want to. There's no wrong about sharing your profit here or challenged here instead it is an inspiration to all of us to become more dedicated to earn through this kind of way in trading. Beat wishes for your. More success.

It is not impossible mission, but it is in fact very hard in my opinion. Turning 0.03 btc into 3 BTC need very long time, hard working to choose the best coins to trade, and long studying of the charts and the market generally. And also a little bit of good luck.

This is why I think the OP may get tired of posting his journey since it is going to take too long to make  that amount of money, if he set a lower goal like 10x his original investment then it could be possible to make that amount of money in a year, but 100x is something that is very difficult to get by just trading, it could be a better idea to invest in a good ico and wait for it to skyrocket.

So this would mean you need to x100 your money. Maybe that is possible but you really have to set a time frame, if you think it's possible just by looking at a week then it is impossible. It may be possible if you set like a long time frame of possibly 5 years then it is likely would be easy to attain. Good luck on the challenge though.

I think it will take time. Altcoins are not doing fine these days but being hopes will not work. This person have good intentions and better intentions will help you to make everything around your circle under your control. Hope he will find more than 0.03 BTC within no time. With altcoins, he must have to work hard and then sourly this will pay off in best supreme way.

I got inspired too and decided to trade some altcoins. My first move was to check most traded coins in bittrex and buy pot coins! After they have peaked, of course. Luckily I got a day job  :P

well, I guess that's a very difficult challenge, and also risky. because as we know today, bitcoin prices are becoming completely insane. changing 0.3 btc to 3 btc in a short time is a very risky thing, but I'm sure it can happen if you do it patiently.

Looks waw from 0.03BTC to 3BTC I think it's hard because with so low capital wanting the x100 target to reach it,there are 2 possibilities that the first one does not achieve it will probably stuck only at 0.3BTC and the second one will reach 3BTC but the process is long likely a month maybe.I hope your achievement is successful and good luck in trade dude.

Personally i find this very risky, though it is hard but not possible, i think you should start first at at small goal, there is no one that will know the outcome of the market even if you so technical, the probability of turning your .03 to 3 bitcoins is slim,  the altcoin market is much mor volatile than bitcoin, since there are a lot of altcoins you need to choose, try creating a plan first and doing it smart, Simple Measurable Attainable Realistic Timebounded, if you do not consider the steps in making a plan, you are bound to fail, keep in mind, investing is hard already and trading is much harder, still it is up you on what you want to do with your bitcoin.

XLM did actually hit 1K, but I made a few mistakes and got too greedy. I did just take profit for a 56% gain though.

According to me the target that you have set for 3 BTC is just too much even if bitcoin right now is having a tremendous success.
Its not entirely impossible unless you invest in some other altcoin simultaneously.

I saw some threads similar to this and they're up to challenge but I'm like a pessimistic here. But i guess they know how risky it is to profit ×100 from your capital and still they follow what's their heart desires.

The dollar value has 'merely' gone up 66% (still quite good) netting the OP $130 which doesn't make it a huge asset at all but it's a nice bonus I guess.

If you checked out the full post instead of only reading the title you would know that the OP has a twitter account where he tweets out his progress. The particular altcoin and entry point are disclosed, so essentially you could go ahead and follow every single trade this person make thus copying their strategy and maybe even their potential successes.

I incorporate both TA/FA, when both things line up, that's where the biggest trades happen. I make sure to check charts and news daily to keep up to date on things. Right now, I'm mostly day trading, but I don't mind holding coins for a few days. Once my capital increases, I will allocate some to longer term positions.

I think he could make it but he doesn't know when he can reach his target. This is a big challenge for you because from 0.03 bitcoin to 3 bitcoin you need x100 times your account. I advise you to make this new altcoin on small commercial sites like cryptopia, novaexchange, yobit ... because the new altcoin will likely grow stronger than the altcoin has long developed.

Most alts have been looking really bad lately, they have similar charts and a bear flag kind of pattern. However, I have been on the lookout for profitable trades that can still be made. One of them was MANA, after the initial pump to 700, it was dumped hard down to the boxed range.

With the recent crypto kitty hype, I assumed MANA wasn't quite done and kept a close eye on it. Despite most alts dumping last night, MANA remained in consolidation and buying volume all of sudden started to increase. I quickly bought some at 373 and what lucky timing as it pumped quickly. A 46% gain in under a hour.

I guess my strategy for the next few days/week is to see how alts hold up, many are retesting lows from the vicious dump when BTC made that huge run. There might be potential for some good bounce plays so I will pay close attention to that.

I don't have a set strategy, as I try to be flexible and open minded. However, I do focus on breakout trading on charts and pay attention to latest market trends/fundamental news that might drive up a coin. Biggest indicators of buying/selling in my opinion is candle volumes or potential resistances.

One trade I really like right now is MANA... price is around low 500s now and I think it has a good chance to at least double in a week or so. I believe the project is a game changer and there is a upcoming auction on the 15th where people can bid and purchase land parcels. I think there is around 8 million dollars committed and any MANA used to buy land is burned.

Just a question though, where are you trading? Im very new to this, but am learning pretty quickly.

The ideas from my trades come from looking at charts on Bittrex  and also any fundamental news that may result in price movement. It's impossible to stay on top of what is happening in every coin, so being selective on who I follow on Twitter can keep you informed on major events. If things align together, both on the TA/FA level, then the trade has a very high possibility of doing well. I posted three trades here that has accomplished that here... BCH, XLM and MANA.

I've seen someone doing something similar to this. He claims to be a professional in forex trading and he plans to apply his skill and experience in trading cryptocurrencies. He's aiming to reach 1 BTC using 0.1 BTC as his initial capital. But he hasn't updated his thread for quite a while now. Seem to me that he's been facing some problems. On the contrary, you seem to be making good and steady progress. You already reached 0.3BTC with just 0.03 as your capital. Congrats.  :)

Everyone seems to think there is some secret trading strategy that will make you rich, but there isn't. The top traders share one thing... they are obsessed with crypto and use their time to study/learn from their trading mistakes.There are different trading styles that can profit and you have to use one that best fits you. That would be a great challenge and a hard one if you have a time limit because in this time it is hard for us to gain that thing because we cannot be sure if that coins that we are holding are gonna be that huge but all that qe can do is just trust the process and believe that those challenge will be done successfully. I am pretty sure he has left the crypto world as his last post was in December month. He was last active on January 26th!
