I guess that the hidden number is 34, once it's half of 68

There was no application yet for the '²' and '-2'

So I tried to write 34 as 36 - 2, what also means 6² - 2 and finally f² - 2

But it wasn't my lucky day  Grin

Getting warmer.

It's '2q'

As you not used 2 as multiplier yet

2q (or 2Q) is the correct answer.

There are other reasons to confirm that, but I won't press on those.

Bonus points for a full detailing of the solution if someone wants to spot the missing pieces.

But otherwise, congratulations!

I'll have to get your BTC address, and I'll chase up a few people who made helpful breakthroughs to award consolation prizes.

You used elevated to the square and minus two to represente letters into numbers

I can't represent 34 with letters, because there are only 26. Even if I use +2 or -2 it won't be possible

6² - 2 was not the answer, so it only remains '2q', using the 2 and also a letter
