I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

I'm expecting this, however, it happened too soon. Many people are expecting it to reach $5000 by the end of the year and we stll have about two months but it already surpassed people's expectation. This is one of the factor why bitcoin price is increasing. More and more people are getting imterested to it.

I've reconsidered,  I am surprised a little.  It did skyrocket a lot.  I doubt that it will continue to skyrocket this much per day,  but it will most likely continue to go up.

yes. we were told that as the price got higher then moves would be slower. i can't really see that myself. gaining and losing hundreds of dollars in a few hours is not slower and we're not in the mania phase either.

i never expected to reach these prices at the start of the year. maybe $1500, not more.

After I read the news about the announcement from the CME Group I wasn't really surprised, but before that, I didn't really knew what was going on. It could be related to the fork, but the rise was just way to big to be just that. The price will probably get a correction after the fork but I really think we will be seeing $10k until the end of the year. Of course that with crypto it's very hard to predict prices.

Yes, surprised for sure. But i heard that there are around 30.000 wallets opened per day, so experts are willing to say that there is a raise until 10.000$ to expect. We will see.
But i think this also could become real.

I am surprised every day, I was inactive in whole the Bitcoin network and this forum since the price was steady at about 4000$ and when I saw that it was about 10.000$ I screamed, I did not see that one coming and I still can not believe it, or that the price has not drastically fallen by now, it is really holding good for now, I thought it would blow back to 5000$.

I'm not too surprised. There's been a lot of movement and hype around both the Bitcoin Gold fork and the upcoming SegWit2x hard fork.

I am guessing that there are a number of big whales buying in along with normal people who are just now realizing the massive potential of Bitcoin. I would still be cautious with Bitcoin until the hype around the SegWit2x fork clears, and see what happens with the 2 coins.

Regardless, I can't see Bitcoin losing value after what happened with Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, etc but you never know. Just don't invest more than you can afford and you will be okay.

true me so excieted too. i hope bitcoin price can reach $10000 in this year. its amazing last year bitcoin just $700 but now reach 10x so profitable if investing in bitcoin.

I did not really realize the value of the bitcoin will increase so much. Bitcoin prices were reduced to $2000 a few days ago. Now $7000 is really hard to believe. And i look forward to seeing what will happen at the end of this year. I think the right time to invest now.

I'm actually not surprised of current price, it is smack in the middle of my projected charts, and have been since I started following in august. I forecasted 7k to arrive end of Oct in a bet against two friends, if I lost I'd pay their loss in the investment they did off my word. I did loose, but they had of course no loss as BTC made profit to them instead.
My charts say we could reach between 11 and 13k by the end of 2017, recent public interest and major financial institutions coming in I think it will be reality.

It was a great surprise for me to see today such a high price. And I doubt that this year the price will be even higher. I think that it is more logical to prepare for a fall

When there were predictions about bitcoin prices reaching $10k many of us may not have taken it seriously and might have taken it only as a mere speculation but honestly I am not surprised and I still believe that the prices of bitcoin are still to go higher and higher. Those who missed the opportunity of buying or investing in bitcoin when it was only $3k shouldn't even hesitate in buying now, it's still have the potential to bring you more than 100% returns on your investment in the near future. Yes i really surprised with this price, my forecast was no more then 6300 -6500, kerps several days and come back to 5700
