Should we hold on to Altcoin

As we know for current bitcoin fork , all altcoin is bleeding red, I have almost 60% protfolio in altcoin like next , ethereum, golem,gamecredit ,maidsafe 20% in new ICO but all are in deep loss, so what yoy guys suggest should I hold on to these coin further in hope that it will soon rise once bitcoin price become stable.

Who all have similar experiences like these please share so it gives confidence.

This is a problem that most altcoin investors encounter. This is the phenomenon for every time Bitcoin grows and then drags the entire altcoin market affected by it. But for me in 2018 the altcoin market will start to develop remarkably. Despite the price drop I will still keep the altcoin properties

yea definitely best time to buy but already existing altcoin bought which are fairly low than it bought price, any hope that they will recover in the next financial year.

I am not heavily into alts like you but still holding 20% of my portfolio in alts, will buy more few days before fork date with my fiat. Already sold most of my bitcoin but still 20% of my portfolio is in bitcoin which I will sell if price will go over $8k before fork.

Why sell in loss when the price in the next few month may rise?

its up to you and the observation of your own self, because i think bitcoin will go more high price in next 13 days and almost maximum altcoins may be down more and if you sell in more down than you can bear more loss and if you take rest to sell them then after the hardfork when market will stable again and altcoins are also go up again.

Personally in my opinion HODLing a alt long term give u much profit then shorting Cool

It is a best time to hold altcoin because bitcoin price is pump. If bitcoin grow up on that altcoin is down so it is a right time to buy altcoin and hold a only one month if anyone make a big profit so they should hold altcoin for a long time. Me and my family buy altcoin for our future. Hope everybody make a profit if he hod now altcoin.

It may depend on the person itself holding a altcoin is not bad due too time will make that certain altcoin to go skyrocket its price just wait for the right time and you will have to get big profit from it but you need to timing it very good because it may reverse the profit and make it less more profitable

Yea why not because holding a certain coin will help for you to get some profit from it just make sure you made sone research for you not to make a unexpected problems that may delay your profit and also holding it longer than shorter will make your profut bigger

Well imho the main reason of why people should buy alts is the chance that those alts will make like x4 in a short time. If you are still waiting for this moment then just hodl. This whole mess with BTC will pass soon and people will come bach to altcoins.

If you hold your altcoins you take a big risk. You could lose a lot, but now there's not much you can do. With the incredible uptrend bitcoin is having now, most other altcoins suffer big losses.

I am not sure anymore. It depends on the success of segwit2x update. Your portfolio looks good. Almost every coin has its advantage. I additionally hold monero, because it provides high privacy and is stable.

It is very tough situation for everyone to decide whether to hold the altcoins or not even I am also holding some altcoins that all are showing red in my portfolio. But my planning is to hold and buy more same altcoins at low price now. So that I can reduce my losses and I will sell those when market will rise. I hope when bitcoin will be stable then altcoin will start rising again.
