I do not think bitcoin is complicated.
With coinbase after linking a bank account you can buy/sell bitcoin.
If you can download an app from google play you can create a wallet.
There is just a learning curve and we are all able to learn

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It is true that bitcoin is complicated for average people.
Most of people just using it for trading or other things but don't know the technological aspects of bitcoin.
But it is changing day by day.

Indeed , in addition my government still not legalized bitcoin yet so people have less knowledge and less awareness about bitcoin.
But if we see the positive side, there are a lot that bitcoin do and fiat can't do especially on this digital era.

More people seek an enjoyment for transaction !

ya Bitcoin is pretty complex concept at first. Even for me taking computer subject in high school when i discovered about Bitcoin had a hard time understanding it. But with time and getting involved with it help me be familiar with. But it is still hard for me to explain it to an average people did not take computer as a subject in there school. that's a challenge !!! and I am sure the explantion about the money from banks is even more complex because they create it out of thin air. The mcafee guy said it is much harder to explain how the Federal Reserve Bank work compared to Blockchain system.

I think Bitcoin is not complicated at all, just take it as another transaction method, a digital form of regular money. How many people knows how paper money works? how many people knows the process of issuing paper money? the financial policies? - not more than 1% of world population.
Who needs to know how paper money works, all they need to know is how to spend the money and there is no complication about it as it is a simple process any kid can do but that is not the case with bitcoin, they really need to study about how to secure their coins and how to safe guard their coins and how to transact them and it is a difficult process for any newbie.

Yes you are absolutely right on this.
Bitcoin is too complicated for even day use.
I talked about bit coin to several friends of mine and they are from technical background .
Still they donot understand how and why bitcoin works and what is the important of it.
So you can imagine how hard it is for non technical person.

If a person owns a computer and the Internet, then he has every chance of mastering and bitcoin. Here everything depends on desire. In addition, if you just want to invest your money in bitcoin, but do not understand, you can ask someone for help.

Its only us people who complicated things.we want to earn more but we dont want to lose a little. We sometimes get paranoid when BTC value dips, we cant sleep, we're thinking we might get bankrupted. It will be only complicated if you risk everything. Try spending what you can afford to lose and let it flow. You'll see, its not complicated actually.

Bitcoin is not complicated at all to be understood and learned if just to earn, save and spend also using bitcoin. I'm pretty sure everyone can use bitcoin without serious complications, those who say bitcoin is complicated, I guess they're just people who think bitcoin is useless so they're not interested in learning bitcoin.

Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

The learning curve is definitely steep. Younger, tech-oriented people have a big advantage in this space. Regarding the complicated nature of buying BTC and the high fees to do so, I think this will improve. In the US, most people can use regulated exchanges like Coinbase or Gemini and transfer money to the exchange for free using ACH transfer. On GDAX (Coinbase's exchange), you can buy without any fee as long as you provide liquidity (place a limit order on their book).

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

That's why it won't catch on overnight, and why it has taken 9 years just to get here. The UX is still bad and low value payments are problematic. It's easy to get hacked or scammed. These things will improve in the future as products are launched which remove some of the complexity for average, non-sophisticated users.

As much as it sounds like something that many Bitcoin users are afraid to admit, it's sadly the truth. There is no institution with the motif of driving potential Bitcoin users through a standarized process of using the currency, and so many people are left in the dark about its potential. Communities have come together to built nice guide through websites but scams and dubious crypto related projects still come up first when people look into crypto resources.

yes probably it maybe a puzzle, before you can have knowledge or full understanding about Bitcoin, but if you only wanted to own Bitcoin, buy it from your local and download Bitcoin wallet apps for your mobile phone, and prepare your money for payment.

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

I believe if Bitcoin sell coins on their official website, with lower fees, such as 1% to 2%, and make  a simple wallet for people to use, more & more people would buy and use it.
What is your opinion on it? discuss..

Yes, this could help some people who doesn't have time to learn something about Bitcoin, how they could value anything they don't have knowledge.

Quote
When you use Bank or Online banking, If you have any problem, you can actually go to branch or call the customer service fix the problem, Bitcoin have no phone number, no branch, no one to contact if anything goes wrong.

Yes, no centralized help center online, but we have the community.

Quote
The desktop wallet are too complicated to use, it has some weird functionality, such as MEW, every time you login, you have to use key chain, or a file as your private key and password, when you get a get it doesn't not show on your account, you actually have to add custom, which is really confusing sometimes. And i always hear people ger hacked, their balanced is gone. which is really scary after all these security in your wallet? strange!

Bitcoin does not have their own official site, so lots of people visit other junk/spam/hacking site, think it is bitcoin site and can get help.
No official website, but there's a Bitcoin community was broad in range, like in here at Bitcointalk.

Quote
It's really hard to buy bitcoin in certain country, such as Canada. Yes i know you can buy from coin base, but they do not allow more than $100 bitcoin per week, and we are not allowed to sell. Lots of people other thread offered local bitcoin, but when bitcoin price is $6800, they sell it on $7800, That's $1000 extra plus 5% fees of the amount. Why people have to pay that much money extra to buy bitcoin? why don't they have an official site, where you can buy in current price?

Why most of the exchange does not allow you to buy bitcoin with USD? 99% time you have to transfer money to exchange to do trading or to buy alt coin, which is really a headache. So you tell me, all these problem, why would a normal average people, who doesn't have enough time will invest bitcoin or any other coin? This is rea reason i believe we see the market cap in crypto currency under $200 billion. If it was easy to use, for normal people it would have jump to Trillion dollar.

if people can spend there time watching television or Movies for about 2 to 3 hours or even a whole day, without complaining that they no't really understand the movie concept but enjoying it. Then they should do the same with Bitcoin, if they do understand very well about this technology, they will surely enjoy it more.

For average Joe it is not so complicated if opponent can clearly explains things. When i talk about bitcoins to my friends first, i start with some economic approach before going to technical side of story. Later i explain market cap, prices, market, trading etc..

NO, it is not too difficult at all.

I think that we as community have a responsibility to explain to other part of community what block-chain is and we do not have to got in to details in order to do that. The basics in enough to make people understand.

On the contrary, bitcoin is uncomplicated and easy-to-use even a kid can create a wallet, send or receive funds. all you have to do is to click some buttons, it is even easier then using banks services. Bitcoin is complicated when it comes to understanding how transactions are managed in the background, but regular users don't have to focus on that.

Depending on someone whether to understand and learn the bitcoin system, initially it is difficult but with good information the average people will understand it. the point is whether they want to spent the time to learn the  bitcoin system, that's all.

I believe no one will be called average people if we are all willing to learn. As far as I am using bitcoin, reading and learning from it I can see that it is not as complicated as my job outside that is why I am loving being here.

Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

What is your opinion on it? discuss..

When you use Bank or Online banking, If you have any problem, you can actually go to branch or call the customer service fix the problem, Bitcoin have no phone number, no branch, no one to contact if anything goes wrong.

I thinks that bitcoin is not complicated for average people, because everything has a right to learn an gain knowledge in digital currency if the person  is eager to learn the trading process of bitcoin.one example of average people who become now a succesful  businessman is bill gate he is lack of education but now a succesful entrepreneurs, and now i thinks he is have a investment in bitcoin.

For example, I'm from Canada, and i was only able to buy bitcoin from coinbase, who has limit $100 per week, they charge 3.5% transaction fee, then when you transfer bitcoin to bittrex, they hit you with another fees, which is $5 to $7, end of the day you get $90 worth of bitcoin. I tried several other sites, which has way way high fees, not sure where you guys buy the bitcoins, i couldn't find any suitable sites yet, so i can buy bitcoin with ease.

Use GDAX. It's linked up with coinbase (same company, really). If you do a market buy, there is still a fee, but it's much less. If you do a limit buy, NO FEES! The catch is you can't use your credit/debit card. You have to do a bank transfer and it takes about a week. Well worth the extra effort though with the $ saved on fees.
