I am also facing same problem because an average people are here in India didn't know about bitcoin and don't take interest.
They can't handle even blockchain accounts and transactions.

I would have to agree although its gotten easier since the start of bitcoin with more people using it more documentation has come out but its still not very easy to access and until then we aren't going to see it in the mainstream.

Yes, its kinda difficult to understand Bitcoin at first but in the long run you will understand it more how it works specially if you try to read and search about it more. Even non techy person will understand bitcoin if they only have patience and time to learn it.

It depends on the person how hard he/she wants to learn, But you do not need to learn everything about bitcoins, Only the necessary things to have a good conversation so you can apply on bounty campaigns.

I totally agree. Everything in Bitcoin is too complicated for the average person. Buying - when it is not impossible - is complicated and costy. And even after you bought your bitcoins, the learning curve is rough, with many new things to learn for a newcomer, such as the addresses, the private keys, the transaction ID, the blocks, etc.

I hope someday all of this will be simplificated. We need it to go mainstream.

A lot of people didn´t grow up like us with knowing things about PCs and grow up with the internet.

Im sure that 80 % of the people worldwide are not into bitcoins. For example there are

many old people without PC knowledge, many sceptical people, people without money.

Percentage of educated person is less than uneducated people. Due to lack of knowledge and awareness of bitcoin,it is very complicated for average people. Average people always rarely accept new thing in the market. They always make assumption that it will be success full or not. Average people accept to that after the adopted by all people.they do experiment with new one and after so many person of uses they follow and use them.

Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

I believe if Bitcoin sell coins on their official website, with lower fees, such as 1% to 2%, and make  a simple wallet for people to use, more & more people would buy and use it.
What is your opinion on it? discuss..

When you use Bank or Online banking, If you have any problem, you can actually go to branch or call the customer service fix the problem, Bitcoin have no phone number, no branch, no one to contact if anything goes wrong.

The desktop wallet are too complicated to use, it has some weird functionality, such as MEW, every time you login, you have to use key chain, or a file as your private key and password, when you get a get it doesn't not show on your account, you actually have to add custom, which is really confusing sometimes. And i always hear people ger hacked, their balanced is gone. which is really scary after all these security in your wallet? strange!

Bitcoin does not have their own official site, so lots of people visit other junk/spam/hacking site, think it is bitcoin site and can get help.

It's really hard to buy bitcoin in certain country, such as Canada. Yes i know you can buy from coin base, but they do not allow more than $100 bitcoin per week, and we are not allowed to sell. Lots of people other thread offered local bitcoin, but when bitcoin price is $6800, they sell it on $7800, That's $1000 extra plus 5% fees of the amount. Why people have to pay that much money extra to buy bitcoin? why don't they have an official site, where you can buy in current price?

Why most of the exchange does not allow you to buy bitcoin with USD? 99% time you have to transfer money to exchange to do trading or to buy alt coin, which is really a headache. So you tell me, all these problem, why would a normal average people, who doesn't have enough time will invest bitcoin or any other coin? This is rea reason i believe we see the market cap in crypto currency under $200 billion. If it was easy to use, for normal people it would have jump to Trillion dollar.
Yeah you are right, bitcoin is too complicated at first but if you do your best to know what bitcoin really is, it will become and easy. There is no complicated and hard thing to a person that is industrious or being hardworking.

In general there is more avarge people in the world then exceptional ones, more uneducated then educated people and so on, but bitcoin is created for all of us with no exceptions. Bitcoin is not complicated, its currency, simple to understand how its made, how to use it, send and receive. I agree with you that in the end everyone will know how to use crypto currencies, when that becomes obligation everyone will have to learn it. For now bitcoins and alts are for the people who wish to use it, others will not join for this new thing until they come one day on work and boss tell them to open bitcoin wallet and to receive paycheck like that.

Nothing is simple and easy so you can make money. In other words, bitcoin is like a real career, you also need to learn and absorb a lot of karma and apply it to the real world to help you make money. If you have more access to Bitcoin you will find that it's not as complicated as you think. Perhaps because you have heard so many bad rumors about it so you really think it's complicated

Yes, I agree. People who know about how Bitcoins work are people who are smart enough to learn the mechanics of the game because it is not easy but they earn really well out of it. These are game-changers as they determine for themselves how delicate yet promising it is to invest and earn online without having to go to physical offices, without the fear of taxation, without any discrimination that are usually required to people who go to work, among others. I must say these people are one of the bests!

I have to agree that people might have small problems with understanding how does Bitcoin work. However, it isn't that hard to explain basic things like transactions, blocks, mining etc. It's natural that not everyone is capable of creating own cryptocurrency. Let's assume you are English teacher. Do you know how to build a plane from the scratch? I doubt.

I reemember many years ago when I bought my first android phone, it was the first model on market android 1.0, just me used (none of my friends use it) and when I show them it seems complicated for them, and as you can see now even grandmom use whatsapp... I do not think at all it is complicated, soon will be mass adoption as it happened with smartphones.

No matter how complicated things can get you could always try to analyze it bits by bits, scale it down to things you could understand and relate it to the things you already know. The same principle applies to learning bitcoin; study it bits by bits and that will be the foundation of your knowledge.

That would depend on your definition of average, OP. Almost anyone can have access to the internet or own a mobile device even without any educational attainment. However, those are not enough for you to utilize bitcoin and cryptocurrency properly. One would have to be able to understand the use of a wallet, the fluctuations of the prices and at least basic knowledge about blockchain technology otherwise they might get lost while using it or even worse, misuse it. Surely, bitcoin is not simple to a lay man. It does not require high intelligence but its features would need some understanding and a bit of skill.
No it is not worth saying that Bitcoin is something too complicated for a common man. There are many things which require understanding before someone gets into the field practically. The basic factors that are associated with the use of Bitcoins include online wallets, currency rate as well as a bit of knowledge about the method of exchanges around the world. But in my opinion anyone having sense of accessing the Internet can get through the whole learning process quite easily.

i know it's hard to explain the idea of bitcoin to the common man but it's not impossible when i first knew about bitcoin ,i know that outstanding technology has to replace fiat currencies someday and with time people will get use to the electronic money as a payday  . it's not that hard for a government to make such a decision if they wanted to.
