I have eight (Cool Avalon 6 miners that are currently bricked.  I have done all the usual troubleshooting techniques.  New USB cables.  More powerful amperage on USB cube powering Rasbperry Pi 3.  Everything works on one rig I have setup and so I know the rig I am using to troubleshoot these miners is working.  Some I plug in and the fan comes on but never get green light or blue or red on back.  Some fan wont even come on.  Some run full bore and just sit and I can see them on CGminer but can not get them to hash or do anything else.  Please help because at one point I had 32 T/hs going strong and now I am at 3.6 t/hs with the one that somehow has survived.  I have plenty of power going to everything and no breakers ever popped before.

Also, once these became bricked I have tried the MM firmware flash to no avail so far with any bricked miner.

Hope this community can help me because I am at my lasts wit end here and will soon give up mining boooooo!!!

I met another miner last month and he had bricked a pair of A6 by under powered them with cheap P/S.

I troubleshooted with another controller and confirmed blades didn't suffer damage and were mining back and good. ( I had to broke miner seal, expired anyway )
Power is feed correctly to controller, led on, no visible damage, no smoke still no software came alive.

I saw a JTAG connector and XILINX FPGA on controller. Attempting a re-upload could solve issue.
But there is no support for embedded controller on canaan website.

So the problem is in the bridge board. Interesting. Question, can you open one and see if either of the ribbon cables going to the bridge board are burned?

I removed ribbon to connect hash board to a working controller.
No trace of burn on connectors or cables.
Not sure how the guy bricked them, no visible damage.
Internal controller do not boot.

Hm. Want to send a few of them over here and I'll take a look?
